This week's smiles....week 368

It's been a wonderful week for us....but it's not been spent here at Sewing by Annie's.  We have been away on another adventure in our caravan...the first for 2024.

We stayed on a really lovely campsite called Lamb Cottage in Winsford.  It was an adult only site and the facilities were spotless.  We did have some rain but we also had sunshine and lots of bird song all around us....it was perfect.

We visited Anderton canal lift....it was amazing to watch it working and while we were there we saw two canal boats being dropped to the lower canal and another one lifted up to the higher one.

We visited Quarry Mill [a National Trust property so it was free to us as members].  The grounds were really lovely with lots of places to walk and the old mill was amazing....I was able to see the old looms still working weaving cotton fabric.

We had to visit the Snugburys Ice cream shop whilst there....we had been there before so the visit was compulsory....it's the best ice cream we have ever tasted so be sure to pay it a visit if you are ever in the area.

The bee was 40 foot tall and was very impressive.

Of course it wouldnt be a Friday without a few funnies...and this week I've found lots :-)
I hope you've had a lovely week filled with lots of smiles and you will share them by linking up below.
Hugs,
Annie x

The funnies made me smile especially the kangaroo one. Kate x

  6. It's always good to remind us where in the world this was because we follow many friends and sometimes forget what part of the country or world they are in. Sure looks beautiful! I love bird song and that giant bee!

  7. Great that you’ve been out in the caravan. Quarry Bank is lovely. We’ve been more than once as we also had NT membership. But I’ve never been to that ice cream place.
I love the funnies as always.
    Have a lovely weekend,
    Lisca

  8. Hi Annie, love the photos from your trip away. We stayed at a few adults only sites and found them all very nice. It's a lot of years ago now, but we visited Quarry Mill when we lived in England. That first funny made me laugh out loud. It mimics Silver's attitude to me going out and leaving her! Hugs, Ellie xx
