Having had 3 weeks with very few customers and a long weekend booked to be away in the caravan it made me chuckle that I was contacted by 7 customers last Friday all wanting my services ASAP....of course they just had to wait until I was back open for business today so it looks like it's going to be a busy week for me.
Before we went away I managed to finish one of the strip quilts...the other one will have to wait for now.
The only other pic I have to show you this week is this one. I made 32 hair scrunchies before we went away and they just needed finishing off by hand so this was my holiday activity and here they are...now finished.
That's all from me for this week. I have a Wedding dress and Bridesmaid dress waiting for me to alter plus all that comes through my door....and that's going to be a lot :-)
Hugs,
Annie x
customers are like buses....lol! have a good week! the hair scrunchies are great, but not having the kind of hair that grows long nicely I've never needed one! Happy WOYWW Helen #2
ReplyDeleteGawd, I expect they've all got alterations for too long trousers for new uniforms! This classic buy it and get it sorted at the last minute by putting the supplier under pressure thing really bugs me. I'm bad tempered about it all the time, I see Bart pressured into ridiculous supply and install dates because of a mistake or delay caused by someone else so often! Anyway..gorgeous quilt Annie, of course. I realise the scrunches are probably for your charity sales, but for a minute there I thought you'd made your granddaughters a new term stash!!
ReplyDeleteGreat strip quilt Annie, love the colours, they work really well! Those scrunchies will be perfect for the HJ trust as well, good to have something for all price ranges. I’m glad you had a good weekend away cos it sounds like you’ve got a busy week ahead!

You sound so much like our friend Val who is also always in demand for her sewing skills and is quick about it. The quilt and scrunches are so lovely and colourful Annie.
ReplyDeleteGive Milly a hug from me and tell her we have a new four legged friend coming to visit on Sunday. She’s a cockapoo called Poppy and our friends have just got her from a family who can no longer give her the time and attention she needs

Sounds just like 'waiting for a bus' (or should that be 'train'? You sit there for ages and then they all arrive at once.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the sewing, hope you get some Annie time
Hugs, Neet 7 xx
I love the quilt! You should be so proud. Also I can't image altering dresses for a wedding. I don't have the patience for that!

Hope you rested up in the caravan as you'll be busy this week! Have a great week, love n hugs, Cindy xx #14
ReplyDeletePeople who use scrunches always seem to need more - specially if they are young and lose them :). Hope you had a great time away. Love the quilt. Happy WOYWW. Angela #17
ReplyDeleteIt's great you had a nice weekend away. That quilt is beyond beautiful. I'm glad I have short hair, but those scrunchies are adorable. Happy WOYWW from # 1.
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt, Annie. Good for you saying you’d deal with them when you got back. Your hair scrunchies will be perfect for your charity sales.

ReplyDeleteWe've just checked in at the hotel at Matlock but arrived early so went up to the Heights of Abraham and down one of the mines. We have a while before dinner so thought I'd catch up with some of the desks. For once I haven't brought any crafting stuff with me, not sure how I'll manage all week Lol! Wishing you a very happy woyww, Angela x12x
ReplyDeleteGreat makes Annie. The finished quilt is lovely .x x Jo
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is beautiful! And look at all those beautiful scrunchies! I guess they are coming back in style now, I remember wearing them when I was a teenager, a long time ago! It’s nice to know that people think of you and your services even when you’re away have fun, Lindart #22
