Happy Wednesday to you all. It's been another busy week here st Sewing by Annie's but I'm pleased to say I have had the work cos it's had to pay for my new glasses [ over £330!!!].
I had another huge bin bag full of factory trousers needing repairs and new zips....all done now thankfully. I ended up with blisters!!!
I've made more Memory bears...these ones are in memory of a much loved Mum and are for a returning customer...always my favourite to make.
These Memory bears were made in memory of a special man who had been in the Welsh Guards from his blazer and ties...smart bears or what?
The lady who said she was coming Friday wanting 7 Memory bears making didn't turn up and hasn't replied to my messages...very annoying and I would say rude!!
When Theo was born I made a first Christmas star to hang on their tree and, when I found the material I had made it from this week, I just had to make one for little Louie :-)
My other desk this week is the one in front of me while the football has been on...I'm knitting a pair of mittens and a matching pair of knitted Ugg boots for Louie :-)
Knitting and me don't really go together any more because of the arthritis in my hands but I can manage short burts of knitting and these wont take me long.
I hope you have enjoyed your visit this week. If you leave me a little message so I know you've called by I will do my best to pay you a return visit. Have a great week all.
Hugs,
Annie x
How rude indeed Annie - you are busy enough without customers messing you around. Hope the blisters are gone soon. Love the Welsh Guards bears! Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #2
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sarah, rude indeed to leave you hanging about the memory bears. Hope you get the knitting done without too much pain! He'll look cute for sure. Happy WOYWW Helen #1
ReplyDeleteIt seems that people don’t think to leave messages these days, we all change our mind about stuff but at least let the maker know! What does that factory do to cause all those zips to be replaced, you seem to do that regularly! And yes glasses are not cheap are they? By the time I’ve had to pay extra to have them thinned or transitions lenses, the price soon stacks up.
ReplyDeleteHugs LLJ 11 xx
At least the trousers will help keep the wolf from the door for you - not nice when you get blisters from all the work though.
ReplyDeleteLovely Memory \bears again this week, they really have taken off haven't they, the number just keeps on growing.
Have a lovely week full of joy and love
Hugs, Neet 10 xx
Well done on all those trousers - I hope the blisters are healing. The little Ugg boots will be fab. xx Jo
ReplyDeleteOh my heart, those little mittens ๐. Like the others, I think it’s very rude to arrange something and not turn up, and as it was for seven bears, I expect you worked to clear the decks a bit and be ready, so inconvenient and inconsiderate as well. You don’t get many, but sadly, it’s the rude ones like this that stick in your memory, huh!
ReplyDeleteLovely to see Sam and Lexi on the Nativity programme, wow, what a thrill. Bet what you saw of the show (on account of watery eyes) was fab, how lovely. Just love the run up to Christmas when there are children around.
Morning Annie! (Just about) You have been working hard but as always I love the bears and the little star for Louie is super cute!! Have a good week, love n hugs Cindy xx #7

ReplyDeleteThe price of glasses is just mad as soon as you want anything aditional added the price just rockets. Pleased to hear you've finished the trousers again and hope the blisters heal quickly. Loving the new tedds too. Hope the lady wanting the seven bears turns up, just hope nothing has happened to her. Sending gentle hugs and happy thoughts for a creative woyww, Angela x12x
ReplyDeleteHi Annie, I think you are quite the busiest woman I know, and that's despite your arthritic hands. Mine are very bad at the moment - I put it down to the cold, wet weather we've been enduring lately. I love the guardsman's bears - they are so smart. And the star for Louis is gorgeous. A lovely keepsake too. Your glasses sound expensive - hope they make a huge difference to your sight. Have a wonderful week. Hugs to you both. Ellie, xx #19
ReplyDeleteBlisters! Too much hard work! Glasses are so expensive aren’t they, but necessary. Happy WOYWW. Angela #8
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit, I'm running late, but we took the day running errands, lunch etc. Always lots going on in your posts. I love the Star, I've made some from remnants for family from mom's clothes as we got one from his sister from his dad's shirt and I treasure it. Hope you have a great weekend, I'm packing lightly as weather is to be nice here.(just spendy)
