What an amazing week it's been here at Sewing by Annie's. I have been head down sewing since we got back from our weekend away and have had more sewing in a week than I had in the whole month previous to that.....I love to be kept busy but, the last time I looked, there is still only 24 hours in a day and even I have have my limits.
Our little Milly has had her hair cut since we got back and she has enjoyed imitating a lizard soaking up the sun this week....it doesn't last long though because it's very hot again here and she soon finds somewhere cool to lie.
Amy sent me this photo of the girls this week. They were shopping for fabrics in Hobbycraft and the thought of them choosing their own fabrics for their next sewing project just makes my heart sing.
Theo is away for a few days on a campsite with his little brother, mummy and his other Grandparents this week and he's learnt to ride his bike while he's been there...of course he had to send us a vidoe of it in action [we love sharing all their achievements].
Daphne puppy has learnt a new trick too this week....she can dig!! I hope she quickly unlearns that for them but she does look rather cute lying with soil on her nose.
Our garden is so hot and dry at the mo...we are saving every drop of water we can to give our plants a drink but many of the flowers have suffered.
The sweetpeas keep coming and I am loving all the colours of them this year....only in the garden though as they are too strong in scent for me to have them in the house.
Of course it wouldn't be Friday smiles without a few funnies. I hope at least some of them make you chuckle.
Please share your own smiles by linking up to them at the bottom of the page. Everyone is welcome and it's so lovely to see new faces joining in the fun.
Hugs,
Annie x
great photos and love the funnies! hope you - and your garden - survive the heat!
ReplyDeleteMilly looks cool after losing all that fur. Nice to see Theo has learned to ride a bike. Daphne is a real cutie, but digging is not good, especially if she is fenced in. Your flowers are lovely, as usual, and your funnies had me laughing, especially the fur ball! Have a super Friday and rest of the weekend, dear.
ReplyDeleteGosh, you have been busy! I love your photos. Both Milly and Daphne are so cute.
ReplyDeleteWell done Theo for learning to ride a bike! That is very useful.
Phoebe and Lulu buying fabric? They must have seen blue watermelon (see one of my funnies)
Your funnies are really good. I love the cat in the bird feeder and the lion pretending to eat the chickens. A pet shaped laptop? Now there's an idea...
Have a lovely weekend, and don't work too hard.
Keep smiling,
Hugs,
Lisca
Hi Annie, the children are growing so fast and learning new things every day. Bet Milly feels better with the hair cut too. I have watered a few new plants with anything that would normally go down the plug hole when I can but given up with the Hydrangea, in fact I'm going to cut them right back and hope they survive for next year. They are very thirsty plants. Loving the funnies, the laptop cat looks just like Stan and well! so does the dog at the dish washer if he gets the chance. Never leave the door open unattended Lol! Have a lovely weekend. Hugs, Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteBrilliant funnies! Well done to Theo on his cycling skills. That pic of the girls makes my heart sing too! xx Jo
ReplyDeleteI am sure Millie is glad of her haircut. I feel sorry for Kim with his thick fur but it is not the sort that can just be trimmed. I keep brushing the 'underlayer' out, but it doesn't seem to make much difference.
ReplyDeleteI can remember the joy my boys had when they mastered their bikes without stabilizers. Well done Theo.
You must be so proud of the girls. They have learned well from you.
Daphne is gorgeous, but i guess they wll have some fun with her this summer, until she grows up a bit.
You are so busy with your sewing but still find time to post your blog each week, and find some funnies to make us smile. I don't know how you do it! But they did make me smile, so thank you for starting my day off right. Kate x
This hot weather is not my favourite and I am struggling to do anything useful! Lovely photos and the funnies made me smile! Happy weekend.x
ReplyDeleteoh the puppy is so cute!!!!! and does the short haircut on Milly keep her cooler? we might need to cut Milo even shorter. This heat...
ReplyDeletelove the girls shopping for fabric, the circle is unbroken!
