WOYWW...

Firstly I must say my intentions really were good last week but sadly my body had other ideas.  The workload multiplied as the day went on and when I had done all the sewing I could manage all I needed to do was sleep so I must say a big sorry to all the blogs I failed to leave comments on.  I am feeling much better now thankfully and will do my best to call round you all this week.

I'm sharing photos of just some of the work I've done...

The 5 bears I had cut out on my desk last week turned out to be 6 bears cos they loved them so much and another family member wanted one too.

These were made in memory of a much loved Grandad using his two favourite jackets and shirts.

The 5 bears I was expecting turned out to be 7!!  They were made in memory of a much loved Grandma using her 4 favourite jumpers....it took a bit of juggling to get 7 out of just 4 jumpers and I still managed to make all 7 different.....I waved my wand lol.

On top of all those the one dress fitting I had to do turned out to be a wedding dress....much more work than I was expecting.

I love my job and always enjoy a challenge but my batteries were running rather low and it used every bit of my available energy......so much better now thankfully.

I am expecting one Memory bear from a local customer this week and 3 more coming in the post from Swansea....exciting times :-)

I promise I will do my best to pop over to yours this week to see what you've all been up to and really hope you're all keeping well and happy.

Hugs,

Annie x

  4. Glad you’re really back up and running again, friends who’ve had Covid say it sapped their energy more than anything they’ve known before. The bears are fab and how lovely that some Cymraeg is coming your way from Abertawe….there’ll be a welcome in the hillsides *grin*

  5. Oh Annie, a friend rang last night, sounded awful, but is much better apparently than she was. She has been so ill she would not wish this covid on her worse enemy. Do take care and don't take on more than you can comfortably cope with.
    Hugs, Neet 12 xx

  6. So glad you are feeling better. The bears are lovely - you and Jan must share the same skills of squeezing the most out of your fabric!
Hope you have a good week, take it nice and gently and keep up the good recovery.

  7. Glad you are feeling better, but take it easy as much as you can. A wedding dress sounds a big task. So much material! Happy WOYWW Angela #14

  8. Well I’m unsurprised to read that you’ve been battling fatigue, I think you need to start later and finish earlier for a couple of weeks, and no rushing in between! Terribly glad that you feel on the mend though, whatever else, that’s the most important part! Funny how the workload picks up whenever you feel poorly. I should quite like to have a word with the person who wanted la dress’ taking up without explaining it was a wedding dress. Blimey, talk about thirty times the work!

  9. Well done with the bears Annie but you really must get plenty of rest too. I know what it's like when you start a business like yours as I started something similar years ago thinking I could do that and teach at the same time but the orders just became excessive and I had to stop. My friend's son- in-law was selling plants on-line and working and the same has happened there too though I think his wife is a bit fed up of all the boxes too! Take care and have a lovely restful woyww, Angela x17x

  10. Thanks for your visit. I too hate it when I don't get all visited but I understand when people don't comment times are busy and days go quickly by and when we aren't up to par words just don't come easy. You BIG sunflowers always make me think of my dad, he raised them, for the seeds used in winter for squirrels/birds. He loved gardening. Take it easy, enjoy some outside time, our time changes Sunday so now early darkness.

  13. Hi Annie, do conserve your energies. It seems inconsiderate for someone to talk about a dress alteration that turns out to be a wedding dress.
    Beautiful bears as ever
    Take care and happy WOYWW

  14. I'm so glad you are feeling better, Annie, but please don't stress yourself abour visiting my blog at least - this should be fun and not a chore if your energy levels are still very low. You have to prioritise your work, of course, and what a lot of bears you've made! So no worries about visiting my blog - rest as much as you can and recover your strength!

    Happy WOYWW,

  15. As always those little bears look lovely and I know everyone will love them too! But don't do too much! We had our booster and our flu jabs last night so both feeling a bit tired and a little 'lost' today. Keep on crafting! Stay safe! Happy WOYWW ((Lyn))#24
