WOYWW...

What a lovely week of celebrations we have had.  I managed to get round everyone last week though I think blogger was playing up a little and I missed to leave a comment on a couple....sorry.  We sent out lots of ATCs and have had a steady flow of swaps back through our letter boxes....sharing them out as they have arrived has given us an excuse for a coffee and catch up :-)....Like we need and excuse :-)

These are the ones I've had so far...

I've snapped them all, made collage and then added the names by each.  Thank you to each and every one of you.  It's so lovely to receive such a lot of happy mail.

Last Thursday I spent my day in my sewing room sauna steaming all these dresses....by the time I'd finished I was rather hot and bothered and my arms and shoulders felt like they had had a work out :-)

Since then I have made my chair, that I sit on to sew, a new cushion pad....if I spend all day sitting sewing the base of my spine suffers so I needed a little more padding :-)

The other things I have to share with you this week are these two fluffy Memory bears made from two favourite blankets....they have voice boxes inside too [not sure how I feel about those!].

I had so many responses over on my Sewing by Annie Facebook page to the two special bears in memory of the baby girl born sleeping that I have launched a special offer for 10% off the first 10 Memory Bears ordered as a thankyou and to welcome all my new followers so if any of you are wanting one making please give me a shout.

Hugs,

Annie x

  1. Good morning Annie and thank you so much for the cards and lace, it was so nice when they dropped behind the door last week.
You’ve got some fab ATC’s yourself.
I was really touched by the bears in memory of the baby. Heartbreaking really. What a treasure for the family though.
Have a good week, lovely friend

  2. Lovely show of your atc's and then the dresses. I guess they are bridesmaids dresses, or maybe for a prom if such things are held these days with the pandemic. Wonder how long it will really be before things are back to what we knew as normal.
Just seen the photo below o Lexi, what a pretty girl she is.
    Hugs, Neet 1 xx

  5. Thank you so much for the beautiful ATC and card - I loved your poem too - it was such a delight to receive them. Seeing your chair reminded me I need to get on and make cushions for the garden furniture - hopefully we'll soon have weather that is nice enought to sit out in!
    Have a great week,

  8. Lovely ATCs to add to your collection - it was such a fun swap, wasn't it? I loved your little poem - forgot to take a photo of it but luckily some other people weren't so forgetful! I could have done with some steam yesterday - I was so cold sitting here by my computer all day! The cushion is a good idea! I have to get up every now and then to stretch my limbs, go for a walk in the garden - still better than at work where there's nowhere to go. Love the symmetrical teddies! Have a lovely week, Annie! xx zsuzsa #26

  13. Hi Annie, thank you for your lovely ATC, card and poem. My daughter was very taken with the owl! I shared your FB post after Doug had shared it and a few people commented and others spoke to me in person about what a wonderful memorial they are. Stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #8

  16. Sauna! aargh! I love dry heat, but a sauna environment would make me unhappy! Mind you, I bet the bride and her maids were really happy with your efforts. You know how happy your ATC made me, and I have to say that mine will be bringing up the rear. There’s a story. Always...!
