Hello all. It's been a lovely week here. The sun has been shining all week and I've made and sold a steady amount of face masks [nice to not be under pressure to make so many now] and have also made another Memory bear for the lady I made three for last week...I really love it when they come back for more because they loved the other ones so much.
So it's a pretty quick post from me for today...
Here's the latest Memory bear....and that brings the number of Memory bears up to 340 now :-)
My desk today is in full mask making mode but it's not all work no play for me.....
....Look what I've just been treated to.....and yes it's a real treat for a diabetic I know but I really enjoyed it.
A little spoiling does us all good now and then so I hope you're all being kind to yourselves now and then and life is being kind to you.
I'm thrilled to say Elizabeth's Alan is home now from hospital and is making slow steady progress each day and I'm glad to hear Helen is healing well from her faint/fall. I'm sure being part of this wonderful gang helps us all get through the dificult time we are all going through so keep up with spreading the love and supporting each other until this madness ends.
Hugs,
Annie x
Oh yummy yummy but should it be cream first then jam?? Bet you are seeing masks in your sleep. Have a good week. Ani#2

That is one heck of a lot of Memory Bears, does that include the other memory characters or are they separate. You should do a real count for us one day, bears, rabbits, masks.
ReplyDeleteGuess the alterations might be a bit slow at coming in these days as people will (if anything like me) have been dossing around in any old thing. Terrible - but I have.
Hugs, Neet 9 xx
That’s a fabulous memory bear Annie and to have made so many is amazing. You’ve made a lot of people happy. If we are all out clapping again tomorrow I’m going to clap for you too for all that you have done and continue to do.
ReplyDeleteLove from one of your fans xxx 17
I predict that you will spend some future work time letting clothes OUT; lockdown has produced so many cooks, great recipes and little treats! Your Memory Bear numbers are amazing in such a short timescale, well done you!
ReplyDeleteI laughed at Julia's comment! The scones look yum and I'm glad you had a little treat, life really is too short otherwise. I'm really sad that we won't be meeting up this Saturday...sigh....never mind, we'll enjoy it all the better when we finally can get together.

Morning Annie. Goodness me - 340?!!! That's some achievement. Well done. Are you keeping up with your album of finished bears? I remember - not too long ago - that you showed it to us when you reached 100 - and now you are over three times that. Amazing - you really hit on something there - a lovely way for folks to remember someone who has died. Yet more masks, too - phew - I think I need to go sit down and close my eyes... a darkened room. Not that that is difficult here today - don't even need to close the curtains - it's a blessed relief from the heat (being a redhead I don't do well in sun and heat), and beautiful gentle rain falling on the gardens.
ReplyDeleteTake care you busy lady. Stay safe. God bless.

You look busy sewing still, Annie, and hope that delicious scone fuelled you to more making.Sorry we aren’t meeting up this weekend but I feel lucky to be safe at home with plenty to amuse me.
ReplyDeleteOh you have been so busy!! I actually got out my machine out for my daughter this week - its been in the loft for at least two years!! For one horrible moment I thought I had forgotten how to thread it but then the muscle memory kicked in. Sadly I now recall the bobbin winder is broken (probably why it went in the loft) but I think we can get over that. Hope you enjoyed your cream tea -looks yummy!! Happy WOYWW, stay safe, stay well, Cindy #25
ReplyDeleteHi Annie, wow what a lovely treat! It's amazing how many bears you've made now, I remember you beginning them! The masks are fab, I'm not going out yet, despite the relaxing of rules for the vulnerable. Going to wait and see what happens with the infection rates first. Was chatting with one of my practice nurses a few days ago, and she was very unsure that this was the right thing to do yet. Stay safe, Love & hugs to you both, Shaz #12 X
ReplyDeleteI love fresh cream scones, difficult to find good gluten free ones though. Jam first naturally :) Amazing number of memory bears Happy WOYWW ~30

ReplyDeleteThat is an incredible number of bears! What a lovely treat to have a scone with jam and cream! Take care my friend. I hope you have a good week. With love & God Bless, Caro x (#7)
ReplyDeleteMy favourite, scone and with jam and cream....scrummy. Great number of bears, you must be so pleased. Wishing you a happy woyww and a great crafty week, Angela x15x
ReplyDeleteSomething very strange happened to me just then. I was reading your opening line about making face masks and I thought, ooh I wonder what sort of thing she makes them out of, like avocado or cocoa butter etc. What has happened to my brain?! How on earth did I not automatically think of the most obvious type of face mask right now... maybe I need more sugar... I am very partial to a scone myself... Best wishes, Lisa-Jane #17
ReplyDeleteSo many bears Annie I am proud to own one. The scones and cream look so yummy. I am not fussy which way round my jam and cream go on lol. Take care and stay safe. Anne x 22
ReplyDeleteWhat a hive of industry, Annie. Another lovely memory bear, and what a colourful one, too! I am glad you gained some sustenance during your labours with some yummy scones and cream.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated WOYWW,
