Good morning to all my self isolating creative friends this morning.
I would firstly like to send lots of healing hugs to our blogging friend, Elizabeth and her husband up in Scotland. Elizabeth had been looking after her hubby who was convalescing following his op to repair the broken leg after falling in their kitchen and she has now caught the Coronavirus......it couldn't happen at a worse time [not there's ever a good time!]. They now think Alan is getting the virus too now so please send them both lots of healing vibes. It's a b****** isn't it?
I hope the rest of you are keeping well and coping with life's challenges.
We have been keeping busy here. There's been lots of gardening, sewing and creating going on here.
Nanny rabbit has now got a new dress [thanks Jan for suggesting she needed to be colourful...thought this fabric was perfect for her].
Phoebe suggested that Nanny rabbit should have a sewing machine so my darling hubby cut me one out in wood and with the addition of a needle, couple of buttons and a lick of paint I think we've done a good job between us :-)
I managed to get the rabbits to the grandchildren for their Easter gifts and they have all sent me photos and videos to say thank you....I believe they are all much loved.
Milly was in need of her Spring trim so between us [Dod holding her and me clipping] we have given her a first lockdown hair cut....I'm rather pleased with the results as it was the first time I've trimmed her and she's loving feeling cooler too.....In the afternoon I did the same for hubby too. I normally cut his hair so he's lucky but mine! now that's another matter. He has said he will run the clippers over mine for me but, as yet, I've declined.
I hope you enjoyed your visit....I will be round to check out your's ASAP.
Big hugs,
Annie x
I will certainly keep Elizabeth and Alan in my thoughts and hope they come through soon and recover. So pleased to see the rabbits have reached their destinations and will become much loved members of the family! Take care Helen #?
ReplyDeleteI do hope our two friends in Scotland are soon back to normal - I did send a card yesterday as soon as I heard of their plight. Also included them in prayer.
ReplyDeleteLove the bunny photos - the children look so happy and I can tell the bunnies will be much loved by each and every one of them. Cannot get over the sewing machine - what a fabulous job your other half made of it. Perfect for that stylish granny.
Stay safe and well
Hugs, Neet 2 xx
Bad news about Ellie and Alan Annie. I knew about Alan's accident, but not that they were both ill on top of things. Your grandchildren look delighted with their Easter bunnies. Far more long lasting than eggs. Nanny rabbit looks exceptionally well equipped. I can run the clippers over hubby's hair if needed but I will have to be rather desperate to let him loose on mine as well lol. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #7
ReplyDeleteOhh that is such sad news hope they have access to help at this time. Love the photos of the children with their Easter bunnies from a very special Nanny. I always run the clippers over DH keeps him in line lol.

ReplyDeleteLucky dog getting a trim, I'm with you on sporting the shaggy look for myself. I'm sorry to hear about your friends and will add them to my prayers this AM. ~Blessings
Hi Annie, lots of fab photos today. The grandees look very happy with their bunnies!Doddy did a fab job with the sewing machine, looks great. My hair is getting desperately in need of dying, fortunately Doug always does it for me, so we'll get round to it soon. Stay safe, Hugs, Shaz #8 X

Fun photos once again. It's those family photos I miss so much. Love your colorful rabbit and adorable sewing machine. You have more energy that the Energized Bunny. Thanks for the heads up on Elizabeth, will send blessings their way. We've had 4 people recover none living that close by, my sons town has been hit hard a nursing home has had 1/3 die and all staff have it. Worst in our state. My other son in Jersey is getting as bad a New York in total lock down. Enjoy time doing what you love and Stay Safe #23
ReplyDeleteLucky children, gorgeous bunnies. Think I might have to trim Maisie and Stan soon, done hubbies but like you mine is a different matter but I'm just going to let it grow for the time being. Happy crafty woyww, Angela x17x
ReplyDeleteI'm still upset about Elizabeth and Alan, it's feeling so helpless and unable to do anything that's so awful. I hope that the cards the deskers are sending will help cheer them up a bit.
ReplyDeleteThat's better with the bright colours for your nanny rabbit, you're so colourful yourself it just fits better! The little sewing machine is brilliant, well done you two, I bet you had a ball making it. And Millie's haircut is very good - errrrm, would it shock you to know that I cut my own hair last week and that turned out pretty good as well, lol!!

Thats So unfair ! Poor Elizabeth and Alan. :(
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely photos of your grand children and lovely gifts for them. I used to be a hairdresser so took the clippers to hubby last week - not done a dog though !
Your garden is glorious. Take care and keep safe Soojay#19
The rabbits are gorgeous - you are so talented. I have to say I have rather a soft spot for the little rabbit in the brown trousers and waistcoat - his owner is rather cute too!
ReplyDeleteI laughed at you saying you've declined your husbands offer of a haircut, I might get desperate enough to ask my hubby soon, it's looking a right mess!
My thoughts are with Elizabeth and her husband - what a terrible time they must be going through at the moment.
Stay safe and well ,

Sorry to hear about Elizabeth and Alan especially as he was doing so well after his operation. Your Nanny rabbit is my favourite and well done to team Dodannie for the wee sewing machine. The photos of the grandees are heart melting and they are so pleased with their easter bunnies. Stay safe my friend and lots of love from sunny but chilly Scotland.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lot of happy faces! Looks like they all enjoyed receiving their rabbits! So sad to hear Elizabeth and Alan are poorly - such a nightmare when he is already convalescing!! Have them both in my thoughts. Stay safe, stay well, Happy WOYWW Cindy #12
ReplyDeleteOh I love the pictures of the children with their rabbits, how happy they look.
ReplyDeleteMilly looks happy too, no picture of your husband with his haircut ? Make sure you don't let him near your hair with the clippers! Happy WOYWW Angela #24
Hello Annie. I was just looking through some of the woyww blogs and saw the news about Elizabeth. I knew about Alan, cannot believe that they are now having to contend with the C.Virus as well. I will be sending a card.
ReplyDeleteI am still about but not blogged for one reason and another. I can't link to Julia's Blog either - just get warnings. Such a pain.
Take care and stay safe. Anne X Copper Beech Crafts
Ahhh, those bunnies are so sweet and how lovely to see each of your grandkiddos smile that big! I, too, always cut my beloved's hair, he's the lucky one! (I bind mine with an elastic band to get it out of my face, how do you call that? Pigtail?) Thanks for your visit to my blog earlier, have a nice day and stay safe! Hug from Holland, Marit #21

ReplyDelete"When sorrows come, they come not single spies, but in battalions." Those poor people! I hope all will be well with them. It reminds me of the time my hubby broke his leg and was pretty immobile, and shortly after, Mum died... I was finding it very hard to cope, with my own medical problems too. Anyway, let's hope and pray they make a full recovery!
ReplyDeleteThe bunnies are obviously a huge success! Lovely photos.
Keep safe and well, and happy belated WOYWW,
