This week's smiles....week 293

It's been one of those weeks when it's been good to focus on things that have made me smile because my sciatica has done it's best to drag me down....and I'm not letting it win!

My happy parcel that arrived on Monday really helped to lift my mood thankfully but I've also managed to find lots that has made me smile this week too so here's a few snaps for you....

The sun has shone and little Milly has been soaking up the rays....it's not surprising my garden plants have a flattened appearance is it?

Saturday afternoon saw me being tied up to play a game with Sam and Lexi....they thought it really funny that the timer was running out so Nanny was supposed to blow up!  I now know how the bodyguard felt  :-)

Sam has been awarded his Beavers necktie this week for achieving all his challenges.

Tuesday afternoon was my time to look after little Theo....it never fails to amaze me just how quick he learns how to do new challenges.  He loves jigsaws.

This is Steve opening one of his birthday presents....it's his birthday today.  It doesn't seem 7 years since he was nearly born in the car on the hospital car park!!

Happy birthday gorgeous boy xxxx

I hope you have enjoyed my smiles  for this week and will leave me a little comment before leaving a link to your own smiles.
Hugs,
Annie x

  1. This is the week for the boys to shine. Loving how Steve is so happy while opening his gifts, and Sam is so proud of his Beaver Badge. Spending time with you makes Theo happy, and you happy that he is so smart.

Even MIlly is smiling as she basks in the sun. I just wish your sciatica would get better. I KNOW how painful that can be (well close, since I hurt my back awhile back and still can't sit for any length of time). Hope you get relief soon, dear Annie. Have a super Friday and a great weekend.

Here is my post this week:

  2. I’m sorry your sciatica is still giving you grief. I know these things take time, but it’s a real bummer.
At least you seem to have plenty to take your mind off things.
Happy birthday Steve. That looks like a large present... Gosh he has grown! Lexi is looking really tall too.
It is a delight to see Theo growing and learning. Children’s brains are sponges at that age.
    Great photo of Millie.
Have a lovely day and I so hope the sciatica will get better soon. Keep smiling!

  5. Great post Annie, what a happy bunch and even Milly is enjoying the planter even though she probably isn't meant to be there. If I'm late for the visits or the comments seem short, please forgive me as we are still doing the five hour round trip to visit mum and dad. Have a lovely weekend. Hugs, Angela xXx

  6. There are lots of good birthdays in October aren't there? Stevie is enjoying his. I typical seven year old photo with lots of gappy teeth!.
Well done to Sam on getting his necktie. Every achievement is so important at that age.
Theo is doing well. He will thrive at his nursery.
I did smile at Milly. They are no respecter of plants and gardens, but with a face like that you would forgive him for anything wouldn't you.
N.B. I did not hear from you last week, and that has happened several time lately, which is unusual really. I am wondering whether we have a glitch in our blogs.
    Hugs Kate xx

  7. We could do with a bit of sun up here today-it’s stormy but mild and driving was interesting to say the least. Happy weekend and thanks for sharing your photis of the girgeous grandees ( and the dog).
