WOYWW....

Another week has flown past and here we are at our Wednesday catch up again.  It's been another busy week here at Sewing by Annie's.....nothing new there I hear you say.

I've finished the lap quilt I was making for my cousin in the care home.  I hope she loves it as much as I do and she benefits from a little hug from me each day.

I have had several last minute pairs of school trousers to shorten ready for going back to school yesterday....just as well I am happy to drop everything to get these last minute jobs done because they were only brought to me Monday morning with the instructions that they would pick them up later in the day!!

The middle of last week I received a parcel containing 16 ties in from a special lady with instructions to work my magic and make 4 Memory bears with them so.......

.....Abracadabra

I followed her instructions and this was the result.....I just hope she likes them as much as I enjoyed making them for her.

The other little job I was given this week was to make a Memory School Rabbit for a little girl starting school this week......rather cute isn't it?

That's all I can share with you for today.  I have been busy making things ready for the crop at the weekend but I can't share those with you as yet....maybe next week.

Thanks for calling in to see me.  I hope to get around as many blogs as possible later to see what you're all busy with.
Hugs,
Annie x

  2. "That's all you can share" seems as if you have been rather busy and made such a lot of lovely things to me. Adore the Memory Bears made from those ties. Bet they are lovely and shiny too. Love the quit and it will be lovely to give your hugs each day.

  5. Morning Annie. Great bears and cute rabbit. Lovely quilt - hope your cousin loves it, snuggling up into it. Looking forward to Saturday - can't wait!! I'm trusting the dishwasher doesn't break down again!!! Are you bringing your dumfer again? Never did get a go last year - too busy in the kitchen and everywhere else. Mind you - I do have my own machine - when I get it back from the daughter who has been using it for craft sessions at her church during the holidays!!!
    Take care. God bless.

  6. Hi Annie, people do have unrealistic ideas about how long jobs can take to do, don't they? I've had requests for special cards needed for the next day before now! Not going to happen I'm afraid. Love all the bears, I'm sure she's super happy with them. See you on saturday- or probably even Friday night at the hotel. :) Hugs, Shaz #9 X

  11. That's a great quilt, but those bears made from ties are the talk of the town. For some reason, I thought the bears were bigger, but those seemed quite small. I DID like how you worked your magic with the ties. Happy WOYWW from # 5.

See you Friday. I hope to have visited everyone at WOYWW by then, and know that you will be headed to the crop. What a fun time, I'm sure you will have. Please share photos, too.

  12. Hi Annie, you really are an amazingly talented lady. To take a pack of ties and make such lovely memory bears is wonderful. I wish I had known you 30 years ago when my mother passed away, she had some favourite scarves/wraps that would have made lovely memory bears! Looking forward to meeting you on Saturday. Have a lovely week Heather x #12
