Here we are again.....I love my Wednesdays. Several of you asked to see the quilty comforter I was making last week so here it is....
I was rather pleased with the results as was my customer....and it will soon be flying round to the other side of the world to a new little family member....so I'm conquering the world slowly.😀
Another job I've finished this week is this cushion cover. The pic of Rod Stewart was cut from a favourite tee shirt and I've appliqued it on the front of a cushion cover as requested....I get asked to do all sorts here. 😀
I've snapped a few pics of my drawers full of sewing threads for the folk that thought you'd seen a lot last week.....those ones were just my shiny machine embroidery threads.
These are my threads I use for every day sewing....rather a lot aren't there? ....but trust me I still have customers who bring clothing of a colour I don't have needing top stitching!
The pic in the top left is just the bobbins I use for my two machines.
The other thing I want to share with you today is this lovely ATC I had from Vickie [Okienurse] this week. It was for our last year's anniversary but was a little delayed because of her ill health. It was just lovely to think that she was now well enough to think of me [and Jo cos she had one too]....we are so lucky to have friends from all round the world aren't we?
Of course I put it with my other ATCs from last year that were still sitting in a poly bag!!!
So.......
....I wheeled out my cupboard where I keep my card supplies [yes I do have some 😀], I dusted it off and set to and with card, favourite fabric, ribbon and a button or two I made.....
......my latest book to hold my last years ATCs safe. I've now filled it with all the gorgeous ATCs from all my special friends around the world and it's now lined up on my book shelf in my sewing room with my others....
I really love looking through my books. They are so inspiring and are filled with so much love.
Don't forget if you would like to swap ATCs with me this year to let me know and I will add you to my list....email is

now so be sure to send your details to my new address.
Hope you all have a great week.
Hugs,

ReplyDeleteooh and meant to say, that quilt is gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteLots to share there Annie - I love the new ATC book! xx Jo
ReplyDeleteI see that thread is to you as inks are to me Annie! Love the ATC book, it's a great idea. I have to come up with a better storage solution than the one I have at the moment. Happy WOYWW Sarah #14
ReplyDeleteHi Annie, I've finally remembered to email you, lol!. Love the ATC books, can I ask what you add to the inside to store them in, is it just ATC envelopes? I need to do something similar for mine, I really do. Love the quilt and the cushion, and all those threads! Awesome, Smiled at never having the exact right colour- I think we all have that problem. :) Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #6 XxXx
ReplyDeleteNo, we NEVER the colour that matcjhes exactly - whatever it is! Love your ATCs books -I've just done for a swap I'm in, and intend making for this year's WOYWW swap (and hopefully previous years as well when I get around to it). I have a lot on display but need to swap around and hate when they get putin a box or drawer not to be seen again for years!! (I have a lot of ATCs!) Yes can we swap - will mail you my adderss now. Happy WOYWW, Cindy #19
ReplyDeleteBlimey, that's a lot of threads - but you're right, the perfect colour match often entails buying more, oh dearie dear, what a shame ;-) Lol! The comforter is gorgeous and what a lovely book to keep the ATCs in.

What a magnificent display of threads together they are like a work of art. Love how you have colour co-ordinated them. Your ATC' storage is perfect along with your quilt which will be a sweet comfort for it's recipient.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing WOYWW.
Creative wishes Tracey x
The comforter is beautiful, love the colourways you have used. Was amazed at the amount of bobbins of cotton you have - or do they call them spools these days?
ReplyDeleteLovely atc you got from Vickie - better get some more made myself.
Hugs, Neet 2 xx
The quilt is so lovely and I have to agree with Tracey that those threads are so pretty they are like a bit of art in themselves.
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of ATC books, such a good way to keep them all together.
Have a lovely week,

Sweet little quilt and loving the drawer colors. That is a lot of threads.
ReplyDeleteCharming little book for your ATC.s...I have a box with plexiglass sides to store mine in My mother loves to spend time admiring my collection. I miss Kimberly's swaps so much. Gave me incentive to create.
Enjoy a lovely week.
I so love those ATC folders, great idea. I had to smile at your threads. It's worse than ink pads, you just can't have enough because I know from experience you never seem to have the colour you need so you have to collect as many shades of each colour but do you know what they probably still wont match the fabric Lol! Thanks for the visit to mine and happy woyww, Angela x12x
ReplyDeleteLots of lovely work there and love all your books and the ATC,

Lots of fun things to look at today! I love the thread drawers!!! When I was a kid that was my favorite thing to do when I went to my Grandmothers house was to organize her threads and buttons. I never knew there was a place to buy clothes till I was 12 or 13 years old! BTW a friend of mine had a quilt and pillows made out of her concert t-shirts that is absolutely awesome...unfortunately the $700 price tag was a bit steep for me but it is gorgeous! I find it interesting what people will pay for!! Glad the ATC's made it there. I am planning on playing this year and have already started making them so would love to swap with you and Jo again! Have a great week! Vickie #32
ReplyDeleteMy goodness that is a lot of thread for sure but when your creating as much as you I would believe you'd own that much matching colours up is a art somedays :) Happy Late WOYWW hugs Nikki 7
