This week's smiles....week 264

I don't know about you but I've got that Friday feeling again.  It's been one of those weeks when a few things have annoyed me but I'm determined not to let them get to me and plan to focus on what's made me smile so here goes...

Our garden is full of Spring flowers and I love it.  We've had some lovely sunny spells and that's opened out so many blooms this week.  In the bottom right photo you will even see that we have the first buds coming out on our little willow tree.
Saying that there has still been colder spells so this is the other thing that's made me smile...

It's my latest batch of homemade chicken and veg soup, just what you need for lunch eh?
I really love home made soup and this was really yummy.

I also found some funnies to share with you but alas the lap top is playing games with me and wont let me share them so maybe another day.

For now just leave me a little comment so I know you've called in and then link up to your own smiles below.  I really hope life is being kind to you all and you have lots to smile about.
Hugs,
Annie x

  1. Your garden looks a lot more springlike than mine. I suspect part of the reason is due to the fact that you had all that moisture in the form of snow. I am in AWE of all those daffodils that are blooming.

I am a big soup fan, too. I make a mean split pea soup and tasty potato soup. Can you tell I'm a vegetarian?

Have a super Friday and a great weekend. Like you, I choose to focus on the fun, not the downers.

  2. What a lovely post Annie, Angela advised I pop over and take in the smiles. Beautiful show of springtime flowers it gives us all hope that our own will soon have the energy to wake up now spring is here.
You soup looks delicious, a favourite of mine that I could live on every day of the week.
Thank you for the smiles and Happy Post Annie.
Wishing you a warm and sunny weekend ahead Tracey x

  3. Those bubble blowers are bit gauges. The bits are heated when they get distorted, then shaped back into the proper diameter. However, I think I like your idea better!

  5. Ooh your soup looks delicious. I love making soup too. My favourite to make is butternut squash and red pepper, scrummy.

I love all the signs of spring although it does mean that my bird feeders disappear for a few months beneath the new leaves on the hedge out front.

    Have a smashing week

  6. Hi Annie, we're back. Fetched the dogs so they are all clean too and just off to meet up with some old school friends (teachers that is).
The twinnies are going to have such a brilliant time. We wouldn't normally go skiing during Easter but the way the snow is it should be a great time to go. Where we went, Tignes in France, they aren't sure if they will get rid of the snow ready for the summer season. This area get lots of bike riders but it may have to start later this year. Spring is definitely on it's way here though. Have a lovely weekend, better go now. Angela xXx

  7. Quick dash in to say hello before I have to rush off and sort out a pile of paperwork and worry about the consequences of our credit cards being cloned.
Ive just made veg and lentil soup for later. We love a good soup ourselves Annie.
Tonight we are off to see our niece in her dance show at the theatre. They are held every two years and are spectacular. We first started going when her Mum was in them over 30 years ago. We will be laughing, crying, oohing and aahing and above all very very proud of them all.
Have a great weekend, its lovely to see all your flowers, all we have as yet is a big mess in our garden haha.

  9. Hi Annie, great minds think alike! Isn't it lovely to see a bit of colour in the garden at last? It does your heart good, that's for sure. And that soup looks delicious - lots of tasty lunches there. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs, Ellie xx

  10. You have a lovely Spring time garden. The little daffs seem to survived the snow that weighed them down.I love pussy willows too.
I smiled at your chicken and veggie soup. I had some that I had made this week too. It is a perfect warmer on a chilly day.
I am glad you are managing to keep smiling despite some annoying happenings.
