Hello all. The 8th year celebrations are nearly upon us and I've been using some forced resting time to make my ATCs. Forced rest?...I have either got a flare up of my arthritis in my left hip or it's sciatica :-( I've had it before and know what needs to be done but I'm not someone who finds admitting defeat easy so I'm having to listen to my body and be sensible at the mo.....All I can say is is a really pain in the bum [literally!!]. It means I haven't been able to have little Theo this week so I'm missing out on lots of special fun time.
Jo [Twiglet] and I will be making our ATCs and posting them together to save a little on the postage so if anyone wants to post us both one in the same envelope please feel free. So far I have made 12 but if I need more then I'm happy to make more. This is the list that I will be sending to so far....but if your name is on my list please don't feel the need to send one back.....there is no obligation at all.
- Julia....The boss
- Jan..LLJ
- Jo...The 'much older' sister
- Elizabeth.....Silver scrapper
- Shaz.....Silverwolf
- Helen....Stamping by H
- Lynn....One I made earlier
- Kate....Kate's adventures
- Anne...Copper Beech
- Neet....Hickydorums
- Lisa...Lisa's craft garden
- Sandra de....Serendipity
- Ann.....Craftyani
- Angela...Felix the Crafty Cat
- Lynne....Lynnecrafts
- My Pay it Forward recipient
.....so that leaves 3 up for grabs I'm making more now if anyone else wants to swap....and am happy to make more if needed. Just email me with your details please to wipso2310@gmail.com .....PLEASE NOTE I HAVE A NEW EMAIL ADDRESS.
So this is my desk for this week....
Boring or what? I'm not giving too much away am I.? That's the back of 12 ATCs and the backs of this years cards with my poem inside....it wouldn't be the same with no poem from me would it?
So if you want me to add your name to my list just let me know and email me your details plus of course email me if your details have changed since last year.
The only other activity on my desk today is pom pom making....It's something I can do from my comfy chair while I'm resting.....I'm not certain what I am going to make with them as yet but it's been quite a therapeutic activity and has taken my mind off the dull ache in my hip.
So that's it from me for today....it's very short and sweet cos sitting at this computer is just too uncomfortable for too long.
Hope you all have a great week.
Hugs,
Annie x
Hello Annie. I am so sorry to read you are suffering so and missed out on Theo and all those wonderful cuddles. I do hope you will soon be free of the pain and raring to go :-)
ReplyDeleteI have sent you am email re ATC swap. Take care and get well soon. Anne x #10
Thanks for linking me Annie. First of all can I ask that I join your ATC list - thought I had mentioned it to Jo last week.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry the pain is no better, it really is a bummer this getting older lark - note I do not say getting old, just getting older.
Think I will be viewing the lovely beaches around here from the comfort of the car as I too am having a lot of hip pain. Then of course there is the crafting I can do in our room which overlooks the Marina, a lovely view which we certainly can enjoy.
Hugs and Thanks again, Neet xx
So sorry to hear you are suffering, Annie. It's no fun to be in pain is it, especially if you are missing out on little cuddles. I hope you are managing to get comfortable. I have just had a bout of Sciatica so can really sympathise.
ReplyDeleteI would love to swap ATC's with you. I will email you. It's been awhile since I was around for a swap.

I'm amazed you have managed so much, when you are in pain like that. I hope that things settle down soon. I don't have any ATCs, but I do have 12 tags that I have made over the last few months if they are acceptable to people. Happy WOYWW Sarah #17
ReplyDeleteOh Annie, I'm sorry to hear you've been in pain like that - whether it's arthritis or sciatica, it's no joke. I hope that the rest has helped a little, especially the pain in the derrière.... Thank you for including me on your swap list for ATCs, I've already made one for you. Mine are a bit cheaty this year, it's been a lack of time recently.
ReplyDeleteTaker good care of yourself lovely gal, don't be tempted to do too much too soon (cos I know what you're like...very like me!!)
Hugs, LLJ 6 xxx
Hello Annie, I will send you and email as I hope to swap with you for the 8th anniversary. Hope you feel better.... I always find that gentle walking helps, especially when it has that pain in the bum quality. Gorgeous pics of the little ones.

Hi Annie, I commented to Jo that I'd put hers & yours in the same envelope, so she'll be passing mine along. :) I feel for you with the sciatica, had it once or twice myself, and know just how painful it can be. Love all the colours in the pom poms. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #7 XxX
ReplyDeleteHope the pain gets better soon! Seems like you're busy with ATCs and Pom Poms! I remember making some of those when I was little. I also remember that I wasn't too good at it. lol
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW

ReplyDeleteOh dear Annie, I truly am sorry re your level of pain, a real "pain in the toosh" as my friend often says. I pray it is arthritis rather than sciatica... in case it settles for you asap as seeing little Theo is such a joy for you.
ReplyDeleteSending gentle hugs and healing prayers.. and well done on being so organised ... I'm not but as my post shows I'm very busy ..
Thanks so much for sharing your desk and happy WOYWW!

ReplyDeleteI feel for your pain - my hubby was laid up for 4 weeks with sciatica - so painful, he couldn't lie down flat, had to sleep in his Lazy-boy for 4 weeks. So I wish you a speedy recovery and I'm impressed you are making anything at all! Feel better soon, Thanks for sharing, Lindart #33
ReplyDeletesending hugs!so sorry you have such pain. I am honoured to be receiving an atc. I will see if I can get some made, but not promising anything yet In the meantime I love your pompoms! such pretty colours. Hope you find something fabulous to do with them!! I am sure you will. Helen #1
ReplyDeleteOh, poor you! I suffer with arthritis (rheumatoid, psoriasical and osteo-) and also sciatica. I haven't had a sciatica flare in ages - thank goodness - it can be so painful and makes me grumpy!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon!

I don't know....I might not be able to make anything in time. I certainly wouldn't have enough time to make 12 or more ATCs! Life's pretty complicated right now. Only, I do hate to miss the fun. Would there be a way for me to participate digitally? That I could have time for. My life's in upheaval mode at the moment. i'm currently emptying art drawers, etc and things are in a bit of a jumble. I barely managed to make anything over the weekend. That's why a non-messy and digital thing would work better for me this time around. Or would that be seen as unfair? oh dear

Oh Annie, so sorry to hear you're not so well. I so sympathise with you - I know that pain so well and it is difficult to decide whether it's arthritis or sciatica that is causing the pain. It doesn't seem as though the enforced rest is stopping you from crafting too much. So far you've made 100% more ATCs than I have but I've had good reason with Alan being poorly. Now that he's on the mend I'll be able to get on with it. It's a shame you've missed out on fun time with Theo but hopefully it won't be for too long. In the meantime, you rest up and keep on with the pompoms :) Hugs, Elizabeth x #46
ReplyDeleteAnnie, I hope your pain eases soon and you feel better as I know how draining this can be. you are teasing with your ATCS, I had a close look but you've given nothing away :-) what a lucky lot. the pom poms I'm sure will end up being a wonderful creation .take good care crafty hugs Andrea #42
ReplyDeleteI bet Theo would like to play with those pompoms, hope you're feeling already better, have a nice weekend, vicky #5
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you have been feeling bad...pain can be so debilitating and takes all the fun out of life. If I could guarantee I could sit still long enough to make an ATC I would swap with you and Jo! Send me your address and I will sit down and work on some this week! Hope you get to feeling better. Love the pom poms. I was so happy that I remembered in time to participate in WOYWW this week. I think the meds and illness has really impacted my memory! Vickie #43
