Hello all. Here we are at our weekly catch up with our creative friends from all round the world again. Time sure does fly when you're having fun doesn't it?
Firstly as promised here's a quick snap of the little Flop eared bunnies I was making when you called in last week....
I cut a full bunny out in each of the 6 fabrics I was using and then mixed and matched them to make up the bunnies.....I rather like how they have all turned out don't you?
We have a little craft shop close by that has now been taken over by a really lovely lady so I popped in to say hello this week. She is happy to send customers to me if they ask about alterations and is planning to stock lots of lovely fabrics so I have a feeling I may need to call in often. These were 6 fat quarters that just jumped into my hand while I was there too....well you just have to don't you?
As you know there are never two days the same here at Sewing by Annie's and this week has been no exception. I thought you might like to see what I've been busy doing.....
One of my customers brought me two 5 foot x 6 foot fabric panels to make wall hangings out of....they wouldn't fit in my home but she says she has high ceilings and fell in love with them. I had to hem all 4 sides and make tubes of fabric at the top so they will hang on poles.
The other thing I thought you might like to see is my new banner I've made this week. I will be using it at the craft fayre I have a table at this Sunday so if you're popping in you will know what to look for 😀
I had a lot of fun appliqueing the letters etc on and am really pleased how it turned out.
There you go. That's all from me for this week. Please leave me a little comment and I will get over to yours as soon as..... Have a great week.
Hugs,
Annie x
Oh I love your banner it's ever so posh and a great way to get noticed. It would have been rude to leave those fat quarters behind. Besides we have to support each other don't we haha.
ReplyDeleteSuper makes this week Annie, your stall is going to look fabulous

What a great banner and also an advert for some of your talents. I love the fat quarters, especially the fabric with the balloons, they are so vibrant. Sarah #13
ReplyDeleteOh the bunnies are cute - how fun. I love the customer's panels, and I totes understand why she bought them to you - just the sort of job you never get round to yourself when you buy these things! I love the banner - don't think I realised how big it is from Facebook. It's so pretty and a great advert...I suspect you could take orders for names and things based on that.
ReplyDeleteI love how those bunnies turned out. Adorable!
ReplyDeleteOops! Hit send before I'd finished! The banner looks great too. Hope the craft fair is a success.

You always have such busy weeks, Annie. I love your floppy eared bunnies, great fun, and your banner is lovely.
ReplyDeleteThat lady must have very high ceilings for those hangings mustn't she, but aren't they beautiful.
Have a good week.

Oh Annie, some very fun projects. The bunnies turned out adorable. Glad to be a FB friend too. Got to see the Banner first hand and I love it. Fat quarters are known to enlighten and find new homes quickly. I'm always tempted. And the wall hangings are pretty, it reminded me of 3 smaller pieces I need to put tabs on and a spring curtain topper I need to get done. Enjoy a great week and thanks for sharing your fun projects.
ReplyDeleteHi Annie. Cute bunnies - well done! What beautiful wall hangings - they wouldn't fit in my home either - but somewhere with high ceilings - wow! Hope the fair goes well on Sunday - I won't make it - those are the exact times I'm in church - sorry I shall miss it. I actually wish some of these sales were on different days - I can never do a Sunday...
ReplyDeleteIt's just SO difficult when fabric and stuff leaps off the counter into your hand. isn't it?? Makes you obliged to buy it:-)
Take care. God bless.

Hi Annie, lovely fun post today. Those bunnies are gorgeous - love the floppy ears. Isn't it amazing how fat quarters can just 'jump into' our hands whenever we get within stroking distance of them! Those panels are gorgeous and will look fabulous in a room of the right proportions. They'd be just a bit too big for our home too. Love your pretty new banner - very eye-catching! Hope you have a sell-out on Sunday. Have a great week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #26
ReplyDeleteOh those bunnies are great fun - I bet they sell like hot cakes! Did you embroider the faces? The fat q's are fab too, how lovely that you have a new face at the craft shop, I suspect you and Twiglet will be loyal customers. That banner is fab, Julia is right, you could do a roaring trade in names.

Oh your bunnies are just gorgeous - I love those pretty pastel colours. Your banner is fab and I'm impressed at how every letter is so exactly and evenly spaced - not something I would be able to achieve. I hope your fair goes well on Sunday,
