Here we are at another weekly catch up with our creative buddies all round the world to have a good snoop at what they have been up to this week.....if you want to know more then pop over to Julia, the Queen of snoop's blog to check out the details and why not join in the fun.
My desk today has seen a lot of action but I'm sorry to say I can't share most of what's been going on there but I do have something I can share that will make you smile.
I shut up shop on a Tuesday which gives me chance to catch up on a few jobs without the interruption of customers. Of course this asks the question....What does a sewing lady do on her day off?
Answer....She sews of course.
My 5yr old little grandson, Sam, rang me Monday night to ask me if I could make him a Kevin the carrot (off the Christmas advert). He said his real carrot went yucky if he cuddled it 😄....and yes he had taken a real carrot to bed with him the night before so he knew this was right! I said of course I could make him one and would make it on my day off. His reply was.....".Love you Nanny, you're the best". 😍

So first thing Tuesday morning I pulled out appropriate carrot coloured fabric and set to...
Of course I had to make one for his twin sister too and thought you might like to see the results....

Cute eh?
My desk today is seeing some Christmas action but as yet there's not much to show for it....if you're lucky I will remember to snap a pic of the finished project and share it with you next week.
That's all from me for this week....short and sweet just the way Julia likes it. Please leave me a little message to let me know you've called by and I will do my best to call by at yours to see what you've been up to this week.
Hugs,
Annie x

Hi Annie, Sam is a child after my own heart - I took all sorts of weird and wonderful stuff to bed with me when I was little. I even insisted on wearing my new red shoes to bed - couldn't bear to take them off! Love the Kevins you have made for the twins ... dear friend, you never cease to impress. Look forward to seeing what other wonderful makes you have planned.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW. Have a wonderful week.

LoVe those carrots - of course you are the best!! The fabric pile looks inviting - wondering what you will make! Hugs, Chrisx 32
ReplyDeleteHow sweet. Lovely carrots. Lucky to have a Grandma like you! My own MIL is a great Grandma. When kids were little and my son wanted to dress up like a digimon (tv character)she made the whole costume - kind of like a spider. Took her a while, but she poured love into that costume.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to have Grandmas like you!

ReplyDeleteHello Annie,
ReplyDeleteThe carrots are absolutely adorable - and who could turn down such a sweet request?!?
I can't wait to unpack my craft room and I'm afraid it's where I'll make the most progress. I hope that's not shameful of me.... waiting on the kitchen and my bedroom. Tee hee Although I do need to find some proper shoes as I'm still wearing sandals and it's predicted to snow Friday!
Thank you for visiting me already!
Happy WOYWW
