Phew! Where did that week go? I seem to have been on the go all week making memories, making Christmas gifts, sewing for customers and generally keeping busy. I know most of my callers today will have called by to see my desk to here goes....you have been warned!
Yes its rather chaotic in my sewing room isn't it? it's organised chaos I promise you but chaos none the less....and that's just the one side. Here's the other...
...just as bad isn't it? There is lots there hiding that I can't show you but for those wanting to see some of what I've been making here's a few pics...
I've just finished an order of personalised Christmas tree stars [I've deleted the names just in case].
I'm working on filling this basket with Sylvanian clothes for some little people in my life...and for those that don't know what Sylvanians are...
Here are three tiny characters modelling some of the new clothes....the grid next to them is in inches so you will see just how small they are [and these aren't the babies!!].
It has certainly tested my sewing skills.....and my patience! :-)
I have many of my Memory bears ordered now and for those that didn't see it over on my Facebook page here's the latest.
I feel really honoured to make something as special as a Memory bear
from clothing that belonged to an obviously much loved Nan and this week has been
no exception. I love the fabrics and it's new owner says it made her a little tearful to see what I'd made and that she will really treasure it. :-)
As I've said there is a lot more going on that I can't share and of course there is customer's sewing too but I'm sure you wont want to see that. :-) I hope you're enjoying your week as much as me and you will leave me a little message to let me know you've called by so I can pay you a return visit as soon as I'm able.
Hugs,
Annie x

ReplyDeleteHa, your desk is as messy as mine! But Annie, I so admire those tiny little clothes. It just wouldn't happen here, I have no patience at all when it comes to fiddly sewing, I get all cross! So, respect to you for your tolerance levels!!

Hi Annie, I remember my Granddaughter being crazy about the Sylvanian toys for quite a while. They are very expensive too, aren't they. Love all the little things you've made for them, you have oodles of patience, certainly! Gorgeous Memory Bear, love it. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #22 xx
ReplyDeleteReturning your visit to me. Love the sewing you have been doing and am wondering now whether to put an order in for something for Spencer to wear. He has no trousers and I do worry about him catching cold. But he has a new girl-friend and she might need a dress as well. His t-shirt it getting a little worn too so he could probably do with just something for his trip to America (if it happens next year).
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing your sewing area so full of things, good to see you on the go, keeps you so young.
Hugs & Love

Hi Annie, those Sylvanian people are adorable but I can just imagine how fiddly it must be making clothes for them. ReplyDeleteLove love love to see your busy surfaces and the method of organisation! Please set my mind at rest and tell me that there's a family with twelve babies celebrating their first Christmas?!! Makes me feel faint!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated WOYWW. I think that your room looks fairly organised compared to mine! I love Sylvanians - and secretly would like a whole village myself. My niece loves them too - and I often buy her some for Christmas. How clever to make tiny clothes for them. Ali x #11
