Hi folks it's been another busy week here at Sewing by Annie's.....nothing new there I hear you say.
House developments for this week have been that the pipes in the attics have been lagged, the insulation has been put in the attics and we now have cupboards on the walls in the utility. The plan was to get some painting done but that will be for another time now....so many jobs, so little time when you both work but it will all get done at some point.
There's just a couple of projects on my desk to share with you today....other jobs can't be shared yet sorry as they are for Christmas presents for friends who read my blog.
Every year I make something for each of my little Grandchildren to hang on their Christmas trees.....I like to think I'm making memories for them. This year I picked up some candy canes and have made 5 little owls with some.......
....and the rest I made into little felt mice. It had to be something quick and easy this year as my time is so limited at the mo but the little ones seemed to like them.
As I said I have been busy in my sewing room but the rest is under wraps as yet.....I have taken photos so will share with you after Christmas [if I remember :-) ].
Thanks for dropping by today. Please leave me a little hello message to let me know you've called and I will do my best to return the visit ASAP. Hoping you all have a great week.
Hugs,
Annie x

Love the little owls and mice, Annie. They're great. You are doing so well with all the house alterations and finishing. Well done. As you say, some jobs will now just have to wait until after Christmas.
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

Quick and easy you call that? Looks pretty complicated to me! Well done though, they are gorgeous, mice and owls alike.
ReplyDeletePatience is the key word when doing renovation and building work. I have learnt that. It's going to be beautiful when it's finished. (that's my mantra and I'm sticking to it)
Thanks for visiting already,
have a great week and don't get too stressed,

We won't let you forget! Great ideas with the candy canes, fab that you made time rather than letting the idea go because you're busy. How like you. It sounds as if all your customers have settled into your new address too!
ReplyDeleteHello Annie,
ReplyDeleteThe owl candy canes are so dang cute! The mice are cute too, but I'm partial to owls!
You asked what I was knitting and it's another cowl (for the person I went on the cruise with). I was going to make a scarf using the linen stitch but decided against it. The yarn really didn't show the pattern, but more importantly, I wouldn't be able to keep it straight in my head where I was!! Luckily I brought my circular needles and went to work. I have it about 3/4 or the way done.
I'll be joining you for Friday Smiles this week! Something just happened in Starbucks (using free wifi) that I just have to share.
Thanks for visiting me already.
Happy WOYWW
Hugs, Kay (14)
Owls, and mice, and candy canes. Oh MY! What fun it is to see all you have made this week.
ReplyDeleteI would have been by sooner, but my life took a major meltdown today when my washing machine hose broke. After I got all the water and mess cleaned up, I was off to buy a new hose and install it. Not a WEDNESDAY smile, that's for sure!
Happy belated WOYWW from #1.
Oh your owls are adorable but the mice stole my heart for some reason. So darned cute! Not sure what it is with owls at the moment but I have bought a couple of tunics lately that feature owls on them. Love them and am wearing one later today to go out in.
ReplyDeleteAm glad you are busy if it is work that will bring some pennies in for you - one day I will be tripping down with some sewing I am sure.
Hugs & Thanks for visiting me, Neet 11 xx
The makes are lovely
