On my desk today is...
I've snatched a few creative minutes and have done some machine embroidery on the dumfed pieces I made a couple of weeks ago....they are still not finished pieces. I will add more embroidery and a few beads etc to finish them when I get a few more creative minutes of play time.
This is what is taking up a lot of our time at the mo. Last week the builders put the new door and two windows in the end of what will be my new sewing room and since then we have been preparing the space where they will build our new kitchen/dining room extension ....exciting times and a lot of mess to come yet. :-)
That's it from me today....I said I would be quick :-) Please leave me a little hello message to let me know you've called by and I will pop over to yours to say hello ASAP.
Hugs,
Annie x
Since I visited you for our crafty day, I've been home, played a concert then been to Wales and cleared my son's flat in Cardiff! But I'm going to make time this week to practise machine embroidery on those lovely little dumflings you were so kind to give me!!
ReplyDeleteSo goad to see th building work has started...woohoo :-). The windows and door in your sewing room look fab :-)

ReplyDeleteHi Annie, Every time I go to your blog page I delight in those gorgeous flowers!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting to have the building work done. Yes, I know it's a lot of mess and disruption, but things are moving! I've been reading about your extension and looking at the photos. I emphasize with you as we are going through major building work too....
Your embroidery looks gorgeous and I look forward to seeing the finished product.
Thanks for visiting already,

Hi Annie, you must so be looking forward to having your new workspace. Not so much the mess beforehand though! Just remember the mantra-' It will look lovely when it's finished'- to be repeated every time you feel a meltdown coming on, lol. Love the colours in your dumfings, by the way.Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #13 xxx
ReplyDeleteI love your embroidered pieces - they are so pretty. And lucky you having a lovely new sewing room - it will be well worth all the mess and chaos you are going through now! Hope you have a great week,

ReplyDeleteLiving through the mess of an alteration no matter how big or small is always arduous to say the least. But there is light at the end of the builders tunnel as you will have more space. #22

ReplyDeleteAh Annie, love your dumfing and think your very clever to create that wiht your machine, when I struggle to do a straight line :)
ReplyDeleteJust to clarify I did not actually have the privilege of meeting dear Elzabeth, she lived several 1,000 km away, but knew her as we all did through her blog, sorry, Annie if what I said I confused you, (changed the wording on my post as it was ambiguous) she was dear friend none the less.
Happy WOYWW, thanks for popping over, Shaz in Oz.x #19

Oops sorry, Annie, i am having a time of it. Some how it came out Elzabeth instead of dear Eliza, auto correct which isn't even correct, erk!

You won't know yourselves with those extensions.I love doing machine embroidery too. It's such fun, and you can do so many different techniques too.
ReplyDeleteCheers
Judy
you know what? every week I pick up something new in the trotting around to everyone's spaces and I have never seen or heard of that embroidery before So, now I am curious to go find out more. YAY for new windows and doors. ( does this mean they are getting close to done with your studio then?) ~Stacy #57
ReplyDeleteExciting to see the builders have got underway! Looking forward to the grand opening of the sewing room very soon!x
ReplyDeleteHi Annie, love your embroidered dumfings - they are beautiful and that's before you do any more to them :) Good to see progress being made on what will be your extension. You will have the wedding dress by now - hope you find a quiet place to work on it. Have a good weekend. Hugs, Elizabeth x #44
ReplyDeleteLove your embroidered pieces! I admit I have a bit of childhood trauma when it comes to remodeling. I swear my father's hobby was moving and remodeling (I believe he stayed in the army after he was drafted because they paid him to move). May the force be with you! #6
ReplyDeleteHi Annie! I am always impressed with your dumfed pieces, even when they are unfinished!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting to have some renovation for more space! A lot of mess while it's happening but I'm sure it will all be worth it!
Happy WOYWW and thanks for dropping by!
