This week's smiles...week 122

Here we are at another happy Friday when we share our smiles.  Please feel free to link yours at the bottom of this post so we can all help to make the world a happier place.

Thank you to those of you who linked up last week.  I'm featuring Sam's post because it really got me chuckling.  From one silver surfer to any others out there....I'm sure we have all had moments like that.  :-) :-) :-)  Thanks Sam.

My smiles this week, as always, have been many.  It was supposed to be the first day of summer this week but until yesterday there was no sign of it in the weather......but as you can see from these two pics my 5 little grandees have been buying new hats ready for the sun...

They never fail to make me smile  :-)

Our week has been filled with appointments with builders, all coming to check out what work we are needing doing and hopefully very soon they will each be coming back to us with quotes and to give us some idea when they would be able to start the work......please keep everything crossed for us.

Well folks that's all from me for now.  If you'd like to link your smiles below I will be along to check them out as soon as I can....thanks for joining in the fun.
Hugs,
Annie x

  1. How odd. Our summer doesn't begin until June 21. Of course, it's been so hot (and now muggy thanks to all our rain) you would think summer had already arrived.

Good luck with the bids and estimates. Let's hope the actual time schedule is better than when you bought the place. I can tell you are excited. I know I would be if I was having a room built to my specifications from practically the ground up!

Have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend. Now I think it's off to drink some chocolate milk and join Bleubeard and Squiggles who have already gone to bed without me.

  5. Oh my life your first photo is just beautiful..what a colour! The wait for quotes and starting is now so close, but it feels such a long wait doesnt it...and I remember some time into our build, I looked over the results of a days work and genuinely thought it wasn't fast enough! It's so hard to be patient!
Loving the hat parade, what fab choices! I hope this summer gives them a LOT of use!

  6. Hi Annie...gorgeous grandees in their hats - so nice that they don't mind wearing them. Excitement, excitement at your place, can't wait for us to get to that stage - I've been moving my garden from where the building will be happening and with the fence gone there'll be easy access for the tradesmen. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend hugs Robyn

  9. I´m finally getting back to do some commenting. Lovely to see the little ones thinking it is cool to wear hats for the summer. I had such a job to keep hats on my boys, and my hubby won´t wear one even out here! They look very smart, so now I hope you get the sunshine to warrant wearing them! Beautiful rhododendrons in your header this week by the way: Kate x
