WOYWW...

Hi folks.  It's just a quick post from me today to say this week I've been dumfing [if you're here and don't know what I mean then feel free to follow the link on the right side of my blog to find out more].

It's not been the easiest of weeks so I needed something to keep my mind occupied and it's been ages since I did any dumfing.  I pulled out all my wool rovings [yes all those bags fit in the baby box that I use for my dumfing store!].  As you can see I've made a start at a little character on my table [can you guess what it is?].  The compulsory mug of coffee is on show keeping me company too.

You might have noticed the gorgeous patterned green carpet on the floor.....not my choice at all and is looking very tired but I am refusing to pull it up to replace it until the building work has been done so it's very make do for now....and so is the blown vinyl wall paper throughout the bungalow but it's clean and tidy enough until all the messy stuff has been done  :-)

We have had a sad few days this week as we have had to have one of our little dogs put to sleep.  She had gone almost blind and had been diagnosed with a liver disease....why do we take these little friends so much into our hearts? I'm not sure what her brother will think of it all but one thing is for sure we will miss our little Wispa.

If you would like to leave me a little message to let me know you have called by I will do my best to pay you a return visit in between the fun and games with the twinnies today.

  4. Oh Annie, it's so sad when we lose our pets...they leave such a gap in our lives. Sending you hugs....her brother must be bereft too, give him a cuddle from me.
I agree with you about the carpet/decor...there is absolutely no point doing anything until all the building's finished. You can put up with it until then. I do admire your vision to see past the tudor beams and realise that bungalow's potential.
Keep dumfing, it'll take your mind off stuff....
    Hugs, LLJ 20 xx

  10. Poor Annie, so sad when we lose an animal that has given unconditional love. Hold her in your heart, no one can take that away from you.
Hope you get some distraction doing the dumpfing.

  14. Thanks for the visit. I am so sorry to hear about your sweet dog. It's hard to say good by they love so unconditionally. I love that green carpet,......last night I entertained 3 gals, we were punch needling some small items, but my eyes are not good in evening lights for such fine stitching. We talked about dumfing..not well noted in this area. but I am going to look on YouTube as I want some tops for pincushions. You always amaze me. Have a wonderful week and Enjoy today.

  16. Sending you a little hug for your poor furry friend, Annie. That's sad news.
Love your bag of rovings. I've just been for some for my craft club. We are going to wet felt through this time.
Had to smile at your baby box, though. That's a blast from the past. I used to keep my Sindy doll clothes and things in one exactly the same when I was small.
    Take care

  21. I thought of you yesterday. I was opening the boot to my car hoping nothing would fall out and I thought of your WOYWW post and thought I should have a what's in you boot post, yesterday it was a children's wheelchair, with two attachments for legs and feet, a childs walking frame, bright green, a pushchair, a booster seat and a box full of jewellery which really needs to come in the house but is under everything else! ;) Tale care.

  23. Oh annie I'm so sorry to hear about one of your best friends.... They give so
Much and ask so little don't they. My rosie is nearly blind now and at nearly 15 is on borrowed time. Remember to make more of a fuss of her brother at this time

  24. I'm so sorry for your loss Annie. For most people, pets are not just animals, they are a members of the family. We lost our oldest dog in October due to a viral infection and kidney failure and even though we have two others, it seems a part of the family is missing.
    Hugs,
    Michelle
