WOYWW....

Hello to all who pop by each week to catch up on a little of my world.....it pretty much fell through this week when we were told that the lady at the bungalow we have set our hopes on moving to had put it back on the market cos we are unable to complete the sale thanks to our buyers but getting their mortgage!!! Life sucks as they say....and none of it is of our doing :-(

The viewing we had on Sunday went very well though.....they really would love to buy our house so all is not lost...it's just back to 'the waiting game' [for someone to find the money to buy the house] and 'the hoping game' [that the bungalow hasn't been bought in the meantime!].

So for me it was back to the knitting needles after that much older sister of mine and little old me treated ourselves to a bit of retail therapy on Saturday afternoon....she bought material and I bought some fun wool.....

It's Robin Paintbox double knitting wool and don't you just love the colours?  It's really lovely wool to knit with too so I shall be having fun with it.

As you can see the piles at the back of the table are still growing well too.  :-)

I have also had a few customers this week....the first really since Christmas!  This  b****** house moving lark really has killed my business....it's been a case of the minds willing but the for sale sign seems to have put them off!!.....roll on better times all round eh?

At least I have a rail full of sewing to keep me busy this week :-) :-) :-)

There you go folks....another 'not very exciting week' from me but I do do my best for you. :-)
Thanks for calling by....I will do my best to pop over to see what you've been up to if you'd like to leave me a little hello message to let me know you've called by.

Hugs,
Annie x

  2. Good luck with the sewing - I really feel for you with this moving saga. Working on the "inside" as I do, I see this kind of thing all the time, and it's awful... hope it works out soon! Helen 11

  4. Oh Annie, I'm so sorry to read that about your move. Fingers crossed for a new buyer very soon. I can't tell you just how much I'm enjoying my return to dressmaking, after all these years. It's a slow process, with a bit of time snatched here and there, but it's coming along.

Amazing how you stay positive and cheerful, but that's you all over. Love the wool and I'm off now to see Jo's retail therapy.....

  6. I really am sorry about the house saga, especially as it's all stuff outside your control that's scuppered the process.
So, focus on the positive, enjoy the sewing and your customers and it will all happen, probably when you least expect it - life's like that.
Sending you big, massive, positive hugs :-)

  8. Oh Annie, I am aching inside for you both. What a bummer! You and my friend Wendy are having no luck whatsoever in selling and buying. It's like you are mirroring one another.
I am just hoping now that the one you want does not sell so that you have tie to sell yours.
    so sorry.
Hugs and thanks for visiting me earlier - Neet xx

  10. Life can be a real pain in the proverbial sometimes but I'm a firm believer that if it's for you it will work out and if it isn't then the perfect house or bungalow is round the corner. Keep your chin up and I'll keep my fingers crossed.
    Thanks for calling.

  11. G'day Annie. Happy WOYWW day to you. I'm a returning WOYWW after almost a years break. Sorry the buyers mortgage fell thru but maybe its a case of one door closing so another can open. I had all the same stresses four months ago but thankfully the buyers finances finally got approved about 2 weeks after the supposed settlement and that the owner her waited!! All very stressful indeed. Wishing you luck from now on. Keep busy with yr arts and crafts...love that wool!

  13. Glad the viewing went well, Annie. If it is ANY encouragement at all, the same thing happened when we tried to move over two years ago - lost the first property we were going for (the seller took it off the market), then lost this second one 'cos our purchaser pulled out - BUT we still got this second one, 'cos we found another purchaser - and it is fantastic. Ideal for hubby - big enough upstairs for him to spend the whole day up here if he isn't well enough to go down. GREAT. Hard to realise sometimes - but God knows and cares! You'll get there.
Fantastic colours in that knitting yarn - yes, enjoy knitting it up. Hope your business picks up, too.
    Take care.
    Love n hugs,

  15. Oh Annie, I am so sorry to hear your bad news ... it's just too bad. I don't understand why buyers don't ensure that they can raise a mortgage before they put in an offer. Here in Scotland buying a house is a very different thing and once an offer has been accepted there is no pulling out ... the sale has to go through so buyers have to be very sure. But this is not much consolation to you, I'm sure. I hope the Sunday viewers prove to be the real thing and you will get your bungalow after all. In the meantime, you seem to be knitting your frustrations away ... those yarns are beautiful. Will be keeping my fingers crossed for you. Elizabeth x #77

  19. Oh Annie - so sorry about the house. It's such a roller coaster of a thing to do. Hang on in there, it will come right in the end. I'm glad to hear your business is picking up though, and love the lovely new yarns. Have a great week, Chris # 35

  21. Oh Annie, I'm so sorry to hear that! Its been going on so long too - I'm with you on this in that I hate having to leave stuff to other people (like solicitors and agents). We put our house on the market last Wednesday and it sold on the first viewing on Thursday for the asking price while we were viewing the one house we liked. We're not just waiting for our people to find somewhere - and so it goes on. When we first moved about 20 years ago, our buyers were found to be bankrupt in between exchange and completion. We must tell ourselves that what is meant to be is meant to be (and have another glass of wine!) Sending you hugs x
