WOYWW.....

Here you are folks...please put a face mask on before venturing and further.  Alas I have caught some of the unfriendly bugs that my family have had lately and have a b****** annoying cough, dry sore throat and the occasional high temp to go with it. Personally I put a lot of it down to the high pollen count from all the tree pollens about at the mo and all the dust that has been stirred up here while packing boxes but I've had enough of it now and would like to be feeling rather better.

I have had a lot of forced sitting down rest and get well time so have been busy knitting, sewing together my squares, making ATCs for the swap etc etc so that's what I'm sharing with you today...

I've sorted out the 111 squares that I've knitted so far and have sewn them together into 2x2 blocks each with 3 squares the same and one toning square.

There are 25 completed squares which together would make a rather good sized blanket but I'm still undecided whether to make one big one or two smaller ones....what do you think?

There are 11 odd squares that I've been matching up with others so will be knitting yet a while to use them all up  :-)

This is the mess I made on my sewing room floor whilst making over 40 ATCs ready for the 5th birthday celebration swap....I felt the need to get them all made ready because we are hoping for more news on the house move later today and wasn't too sure what time I would have to get them made.  Knowing my luck I will lose them in the move hehehe.

Here is just a little tease of what my ATCs for this year look like  :-)  Do you recognise the colours?

I would love you to swap with me again this year so hopefully nearer the time you will email me with your details so I can send you one.

Thanks for dropping by. Hope you made use of the masks and don't take away more than you came with.  I promise to wear one when I pay you a visit later.
Hugs,
Annie x

  3. It would have to be a small blankie for me to fit in Kikki's basket.
Now you take care of yourself this week and shift that cough. Thanks for not spreading your bugs over to us.

  4. You've kept yourself busy Annie while you've been unwell.
I've been knitting squares in the evening with odd bits of wool. I'll be giving them to a lady at our craft club that sews them up & they get donated to animals rescue shelters.
Hope you get better soon , Happy woyww jill #34

  6. Sounds like the need for Ginger Crystal Tea, hoping the nasty stuff disappears for you. No doubt our next thing, all the people we were around this week and weather changing to dampness. Lovely knitted squares. And if you want I'd love to exchange ATC's. The way time is flying by I might start mine before I leave for my sons. Good Luck with the house, wish I could give you moms...we need to get it done with. Thanks for the visit.

  12. Oh Annie - poor you! Hope you feel better soon and that house moving news is positive.

    Love all those squares :)

And, having stood on me head here, squinted and goodness knows what - I think you might have blue tits on your ATCs.

Am STILL finishing off last year's - shame on me!

  13. I'm super impressed you were able to continue crafting while being sick. When I get sick, I usually can't move, much less craft. You have a lot of spunk that's for sure.

I'm in awe that you have your ATCs finished. I haven't even come up with my design yet. Good for you.

Thanks for visiting earlier while I slept. Happy WOYWW from #2.

  14. Think you are cheating on the ATCs Annie and making patchwork quilts instead ;-)
I'd go for the big blanket with the squares and then sit watching telly snuggled down under it, that would drive the bugs away.
    Hope you feel better soon.
Short visit this week I'm afraid, very late today with the linking up.

  16. Lots of ugly bugs going around right now, so warm and wrapped up is the best place to be. Wishing you better soonest.
I would be with One big blanket given the option. More to snuggle into.

  20. Hello Annie. Have grabbed a face mask 'cos I daren't risk giving hubby anything nasty.... sorry. Well done on the squares - I have baskets full of squarish four sided knitted pieces which have been given to make blankets for Uganda - I make up about 10 then do something else for a change - then go back to them again. One day I shall have an empty cupboard...
Trust you are soon better - not that being ill seems to have slowed you down at all!

  21. Hi Annie, you're doing so well with the knitted squares, my mum has been knitting these type of squares too here in Australia. And oh boy you're sure are getting ahead with the ATCs, looking forward to participating myself first time. Cheers and have a great week RobynO#38

  22. Just joined your band of followers from JoZarty's blog and sorry to hear you're poorly. Hope you're feeling a little better now. The only good thing about being poorly is the amount of extra sitty down time we can get to craft. Looking forward to seeing what becomes of all those fab squares, x

  23. I didn't feel the need to use the mask as I've had a recurring cough/sore throat for a few weeks now. Let our germs mingle ;)

All that knitting looks fabulous and makes me feel all warm and toasty just looking at it :)

  24. Hi again, Annie. Yes, you will see the dress eventually. But believe me, my dress making skills are sadly exhausted - I just cannot work out how to achieve what I need to do. I shall be in touch.... be warned! I remember you made the pattern when asked by the sweep!!!!!
Hope you are beginning to feel better.
