WOYWW....

It's a 3 day twinnie munchkin week for me this week so it's all go here at Sewing by Annie's.  That of course means I have put this post to upload automatically and won't be able to come checking out your blogs til tomorrow at the earliest sorry.....but I will do my best to drop by as soon as I'm able.

On my desk today [and it will be there at least until tomorrow!] is....

The evidence that Christmas card making has started....
  • Christmas fabrics sorted and ironed
  • a couple of quilted squares using the fabric
  • those have been machine embroidered and embellished
  • then scanned to make some Christmas card toppers
....so far so good.  :-)

Another Christmas card idea in the making...
  • strips of turquoise ribbons bond-a-webbed onto white fabric
  • wadding ready underneath ready to machine embroider and quilt down the ribbons in place
  • silver trimmings sorted ready to machine embroider on top
...we will see how this develops.  :-)

Been such a busy few weeks that I have the need to keep my hands busy while watching telly [or I nod off!] so have started some random crocheting.  I love the wool and it's chunky so I can use a large crochet hook...not sure what it will be when it grows up yet.   :-)

Well folks that's all from me for today....no time to pee breath think sew really so definitely not much time for creative fun  :-)  I hope you have enjoyed your little peep into my world for today.  Please leave me a little hello comment and I will do my best to pop by asap to say hello.

There will be pics and updates on the quilts being made for the Children in Need appeal very soon as Jacquie has already made the first two!
Hugs,
Annie x

  1. I can so understand you here. I have my youngest munchkin 2 days every week, but at this this time of year colds and bugs mean it is often more. Needless to say things get a bit hectic and 'me' time shrinks. Love having him though, he's such a little star and pure entertainment. ( but I'm only human and do miss my sewing room)

  5. Hi Annie I know what you mean. Have my youngest GD from 11.40 on Mons and Tues and her sister from 3.30 the same days. Life gets very hectic especially after being away all weekend with grandsons. Still wouldn't have it any other way :-) Love all the gorgeousness on your desk. Anne x #63

  7. I wished I knew how to sew /knit / crochet. And I wished I had the patience and time to learn it! Crafting with little ones around is difficult (I've got 2 of my own, 2 1/2 and 1 years old), so only crafting in the evening and have to put everything away. In that regards, crocheting would be perfect, as it's easy to store. I've started once (and that's about it). I'm curious about your christmas cards! I hope I'll be able to revisit, but as it is now, I'm way behind visiting the blogs I follow allready. Somehow almost every September, November and December are just frantic times, even without the christmas cards stress.

  12. Hi Annie,

We all have times where life keeps us running! I usually knit while watching t.v. I don't have a problem napping, rather snacking!

    Happy WOYWW

  16. Hi Annie - thank you so much for coming to see me. I have been such a bad blog reader inbetween Logey teething/internet playing up.

Wow you have so much going on - you sound just like Craig. When he comes in of an evening he has to sit and still work on his phone otherwise he is asleep in minutes!

  22. Peeing breathing and thinking are over rated!! really Annie! don't over overdo it will you. As for making Christmas cards???really???do you have a broom sticking out that makes sitting down difficult? I can only imagine that's the way you're getting it all done!

Have fun with your little ones. I didn't make it to the Wednesday hop this week - too busy making Christmas cards. Kate x

  27. Hi Annie, I am so late visiting this week but I have had a good old catch up. So keeping my fingers cross for your move/sale. A very happy belated birthday I am so sorry I missed it :-(. 2.5 stone wow I keep trying but am getting no where it's so frustrating, but a huge well done I bet you feel amazing. Eeek sounds like you had a lot of work come in last week, and those dreading curtains how did they go? Wow you do so much for charity, those quilting squares look gorgeous and those bags for the childrens hospital, such a special worth while gift. Love all those lillybo bears, I have mine next to my computer :-). I am crocheting a cowl at the moment, I think some people call it a snood, I finished it this evening, so simple to make it's like a scarf around your neck without the dangling bits lol. Only problem is you use super chunky wool and a size 15mm hook eek. I love your gorgeous christmas cards in the making, they look beautiful, and I can't wait to find out what you do with the turquoise and silver, such amazing colours. Hope your keeping well, happy late woyww. Lots of hugs, take care. Kezzy :-) xxxxx
