Another week has passed and Monday we had yet another viewing....this time it was the third viewing by the same young couple!!! How many times do some people need to see a place to make a decision about it? So yet again it was another weekend of cleaning an already clean house....just in case they found the one remaining speck of dust :-) Shell decided it was maybe not the best idea that we had the twins for the day so their daddy took the day off work to look after them at home....I just hope it was worth everyone's efforts this time.
So today I am showing you the baby quilt I was making.....now finished.
I hand stitched around all the characters in the middle of the quilt to complete it. Just as well I've finished it too cos our niece has delivered early and had a little boy weighing just 6lb 10oz yesterday over 3 weeks early.
Of course today I am playing catch up with my sewing jobs cos I had my normal munchkin play day yesterday and look what I've got to do now :-(
Curtains!!!!!
You all know how much I love shortening curtains don't you?....and these ones are really wide and heavy so my arms and shoulders will be suffering later no doubt :-( Oh well it all pays the bills and most of my other sewing jobs I really love doing.
Well folks it's a quick post from me this morning....lots to be busy with here. Hope you're all having a great week. Thanks for popping by.
Hugs,
Annie x
The quilt is fab. Of course your great nephew came early: he wanted to see it up close!

That quilt ... gor-juss! Really beautiful Annie.
ReplyDeleteWell fingers and toes crossed but doubt I can keep it up all day so I will send a few prayers up as well. Got to go out so I don't think the shoes will go on the crossed toes.
Hugs, Neet xx 23
Keeping my fingers crossed for you, Annie. You must be ready for a sale now.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your new little arrival. The quilt is stunning.

Thanks for the lovely visit, Annie. Oh, that house selling is a trial. My poor mum had 32 viewings and she is 84! It was so stressful for her to go through it, as her eyesight is failing. But now she's about to change contracts and she'll be nearer to us at last, so chin up - I bet that young couple will have your house and - if they don't - soon the right buyers will come along! The quilt is just breathtakingly lovely, btw! Julie Ann xx #56
ReplyDeleteLove that quilt, Annie! Look at all the detail, you clever thing you! I hate curtains too, bleurghhh.....still, think how happy you'll be when they are finished!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with all things house related...everything is crossed for you but now I can't move...help...help......... ;-)
Hugs, LLJ 45 xx
A lovely quilt Annie. Glad the little one arrived safely. Hate doing curtains as well. Hope house viewings will soon be a thing of the past for you. Have a great day. Anne x #61

What a stunning quilt Annie, it is just so precious!
ReplyDeleteGood luck and the fact that the same couple have been 3 times must surely been a really good indicator! Fingers crossed!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous quilt! Good luck with those curtains. Thanks for sharing. Happy WOYWW. Caro x (#63)
ReplyDeleteCurtains! What hassle. I just left mine hang ridiculously long because I'm too lazy to hem them, and they aren't lined or heavy. The quilt is very lovely and so good you got it done just in the nick of time!
ReplyDeleteHi Annie, I think after a third visit you can draw the conclusion that they are keen, let's hope they put in an offer and you can stop cleaning :)) The minute I caught sight of the curtains, I thought, oh oh! ... knowing how much you hate them.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I missed the twins 2nd birthday last week - belated birthday wishes to them both. I have so enjoyed watching them grow up and look forward to seeing how they progress over the coming year too.
Have a great week - I have my fingers and toes crossed for your house sale - hugs, Elizabeth xx
Oh dear, where's my brain ... congratulations on the birth of your niece's baby - he's a lovely weight. The quilt is gorgeous. Elizabeth xx #49
ReplyDeleteYour quilt has finished up beautifully and love the way the animals stand out with the sewing around. Congrats on the early arrival! Now, curtains I wouldn't mind, you can't really go wrong with straight lines, can you? LOL
ReplyDeleteHope the couple decide they love your house enough to buy it soon!! All this cleaning you're having to do... Love that baby quilt - so pretty! and just in time too, congratulations! Helen 14
ReplyDeleteHope the curtains went well. That quilt is so lovely - even nicer close up. x Jo

ReplyDeletethe baby quilt is gorgeous. i am sure your neice will be thrilled with it. Congratulations on becoming a great-aunt (Is it the first time). Would you believe I am one at least 45 times over! And a great-great-aunty ...well we won't go there! I've lost track. But seriously, families are wonderful. i love the way you enjoy yours. Kate x
