WOYWW.....

Firstly I would like to invite you all to each week upload a pic of what makes you smile and to link your happy post to my Friday's smile.  I have had a few teething probs with Mr Linky but all being well those are sorted out now.  You can put any pics here on this post up til Friday or wait til Friday and link up with this week's posting.  Many have already joined in the fun so check out the links if you are in need of a smile on these gloomy wintry days.
I'd like to thank those who have already joined in but to those that haven't yet......don't forget we can't have too many smiles in our lives and you are all very welcome.

Now.......what's on my desk today?

My latest delivery of wool rovings from Sara's Texture Crafts.  The natural colour is for Jo to make some more wet felted background pieces from and the others are just some of the gorgeous yummy colours that I just needed couldn't resist.  :-)

On my ironing board today is some of the fabric I've been sorting out to make a LillyBo quilt or two.  Jozart launched her new blog yesterday to share with us why she would like as many of us as possible to join in making a few of these so pop over to check out the details.....who would say no?...not me cos I know the difference they would make to one of my little Grandees in that situation.

On my kitchen work surface is the latest batch of bread rolls I've made.....they are Parmesan cheese and sun dried tomato rolls and you are welcome to help yourselves to one for lunch....still warm though so mind you don't burn your fingers.

The other pic I just had to share with your today is of my daft dogs who just love playing in the snow but insist on bringing their snow balls in with them.......on their legs!
I have little puddles everywhere.  :-)

That's all from me for today folks.  Thanks for calling by.  If you leave me a comment I will do my best to pay you a return visit and don't forget to take those happy pics and link them on my Friday's post to help with spreading a little happiness round the world.
Hugs,
Annie x

Yes please, I'll have one of those warm rolls now please... the heating didn't switch on this morning and I am freezing my derriere off typing this... luckily it has chosen to come on, I really wasn't looking forward to going out in the snow to figure out why!! 2. Your blog has changed!!! I'll have to learn my way through it.
You have the snow and we ahve rain and heat. I get more done when the weather is decent.
Your littlies have grown and are the cutest. Keeps our lives full with them.
hope you are keeping well and looking forward to your gorgeous spring weather. I was looking at a trip back to the UK but maybe do a tour instead of hire a car as before. It took me a bloody hour to get on the motorway to Norfolk from Stanstead last time! lol
    Take care xo

My hand reached out for one of those rolls.. would have done for brecky, never mind eh!
Love the snow leggings... can you use a hairdryer to melt them? My little dog was short haired so it never happened like that.

  7. Such a cute pic of the doggies but I don't envy you picking those off..... Lovely fabrics for your quilt, I don't have any child suitable pieces so off to buy some tomorrow. Even though I have not sewn for years I am looking forward (with some trepidation) to doing mine. Happy WOWYY, Anne x #57

  8. Hello Annie!
It seems you have already started on the quilts - I can sew but I never made a quilt so if I am stuck I will seek help :-)
I would very much like to try those lovely rolls! Ha, ha I used to have a dog and I know all about those puddles!!!
    Lots of hugs,

  9. Please can I have one of those very tempting rolls. You have just reminded me that I must get some yeast out of the freezer and make some fresh bread today. The smell of that makes me smile too. Our dogs also come in covered with hard snowballs, so the hair drier has been in regular use to melt them off. I think it might be preferable to the mud we have had for the last twelve months round here. By the way, any chance of sharing your recipe with us, please? Have a good week and see you on Friday. xx Maggie #20

  17. Lots to keep you busy there, but those little doggies are adorable. After the Hairy Horror died in November I swore I would wait until we moved house before I added a new member to the family, but seeing pictures like that make my resolve slip!!

  18. Oooo! Thanks for the roll. I am starving!
Thanks for the heads up on JoZart - will pop over now as I said I would help out!
Love that piccie of your dogs. I always thing of two of our past dogs who used to do that - a Yorkie and a King Charles. Miss 'em!
Love that wool too. In fact I thought of you when I was in the Wool Croft in Abergavenny yesterday. They had some lovely stuff which I know you would love!
I keep meaning to ask, is that picture up the top one you took or borrowed?
    Keep warm

  20. Some lovely fabrics you’ve got together there Annie.
It’s great that so many people are joining in with Jo’s project, but I guess I’d better start making more cards faster if I’m going to keep up with you all.

Loving the doggie pictures. I read somewhere that if you give their legs a quick rub with a little baby oil before they go out, it stops the snow sticking…….don’t know if it works cos I don’t have a dog to try it on.

    Happy Crafting!

  24. We are in Encinitas at the moment and I am sitting up in bed waiting to get up. My friend is sleeping in the living room (long story, broken bed) so i cannot get up yet but as she has been coughing on and off all night I don't want to disturb her.
Love the rovings you are showing us and the rolls look delicious- beginning to feel like I really need to eat one.
Great write up about the quilts and will join in with the "smiles" when I get home.
Hugs, Neet xx (thanks for visiting me earlier) xx 4

  25. I've had a smile from you already, Annie. Those poor pooches and their snowball legs. They so remind me of the dog we had years ago when the same thing used to happen.
Thanks for the roll, it was delicious. My lunch has never tasted so good.
Happy felting and thank you for your kind comments. I am much calmer now!!!

  28. Awesome project the LillyBo Quilts! When I read Jozarts' post I thought about you and Jo and all the little dresses last year. I don't sew...used to though and got totally burned out! Love the bread rolls and wish I could have one...drooling here...but having the darn gluten problem prevents me! I think the doggies snow boots are cute but don't they get cold or are they playing so hard they don't notice? Thanks for stopping by my desk! Have a great week and thanks for sharing. Vickie #35

  29. I love all your shares, but mostly the snow booted doggies, I spent 30 minutes yesterday extracting ice from my dogs pads as they shivered on my knee, I just finished getting them warm and dry ... straight back out playing in the snow... they Love it...

I love that mixed colour wool rovings.
The little snowy dogs made me smile. I remember that ours used to like playing in it too. The two we have now are not likely to find out what snow is!
