WOYWW...

What a fab week of celebrations we have had.  So many wanted to swap ATCs that I had to make another batch of them.  :-)  I feel so very blessed to have so many blogging friends all over the world.  It really made me chuckle that it cost less to send one out to Slovenia via airmail than it did to send them to my friends in England....the world has gone mad.

This is the latest batch of ATCs I made.  I've dumfed red poppies onto green prefelt and beaded the centres.

I was commissioned to make a child sized Mr Tumble's spotty bag to go out to a little Grandson out in Dubai with one of my Tiny Tumbles.  I also had to make Tiny Tumble a spotty bag of his own too but forgot to snap a picture of it before posting it.....It was a real labour of love because I appliqued the colourful felt spots on the fabric before making the bag up so it took hours.  :-) It's fully lined, and has a velcro fastening and I'm pleased to say the lady that ordered it was very pleased with it.

The other bit of fun I've got to share with you today is what I've spent the last few days knitting a log cabin square in between coughing and sleeping and of course watching all the Jubilee celebrations on the telly.  [Why am I always poorly when I get a few days off from work?].  If you fancy having a go you will find the pattern here.  I'm not sure quite what I shall make it into but I have a feeling I know some little girls that would use it for a dolly's blanket.  :-)

And to finish off my Wednesday's post today is a collage of the beautiful flowers in our garden at the mo.  We seem surrounded by beautiful colour out there.....just wish I felt well enough to really enjoy it.  Thanks for calling by this week.  I've had a lot of wonderful ATCs through the post already but will aim to snap a few to share them maybe next week when hopefully I'm feeling rather better.

Hugs,
Annie x

  2. Hi Annie, so sorry to read that you are poorly. There's a theory about why we get ill when we have a break ... something to do with the brain recognising that we have a bit of time to spare at last!?!? I enjoyed reading your post - your ATCs are gorgeous and can quite understand why so many people wanted to swap. Love the photos of your flowers - hope you get out among them soon. Have a good day and Happy WOYWW. Elizabeth x #48

  7. So sorry to hear about that cough - wish it would clear up for you. I think that when the adrenalin stops (you rushing about with your jobs) the colds sneak in.
Lovely new batch of atc's, spotty bag and LC square and gorgeous shots of the flowers in your garden.
Thanks for sharing - get better soon.

  9. Oh I hadn't seen your tiny tumbles! How cute! The bag is perfect! I heard Ruby talking through the monitor the other night when she should have been sleeping, went up for a peep and there she was, going 'shopping' with Mr Tumble! :P

  18. Thanks for popping into Flutterby patch Annie. My goodness! I thought I was churning out a lot of stuff but your creations are amazing, and all so different. I've been suffering with a cough for weeks and apart from blaming the weather (which I normally do) I'm beginning to wonder if it is due to the fluff and fuzz circulating from mammoth sessions of knitting and sewing . . . I hope not as I'd be lost without them!! Hope you are feeling better soon.

  28. Hi Annie,

I hope you feel better soon. I think our bodies decide to relax and that's when we get sick.

I've never heard of dumfing so will have to google it. The log cabin blanket looks very cool. I wonder if you could modify the pattern to make a baby blanket out of it?

The photos from your garden are wonderful!

    Happy WOYWW

  29. Sending you lots of hugs via the internet Pet ((((())))) You poor thing - have a Baileys for the cough - it doesn't help but once you have had a few you don't care!

I had a lickle package when I got home tonight. Talk about lush. My ATC is gorgeous and I am lucky to have a friend like you to make that ATC. MWAH Buddy!

  30. Oh, those yellow flowers make me want to sneeze. I joke that I must be allergic to the color yellow because it seems that most things that bloom here, bloom yellow. If i lived near you, I'd probably be allergic to the color purple. I just can't win for loosing. Love the dotty bag. WOW! You added the circles and stitched them all up pretty. That was labor intensive!

  31. “So many wanted to swap ATCs that I had to make another batch of them”.
That’s what happens when you create such beautiful pieces of art Annie and they look even better in the flesh, so to speak. I will treasure mine.

You are certainly working with some bright colours this week. I love the spotty bag and I bet the little one to go with Tiny Tumble was really cute.

    Happy Crafting
