WOYWW....and a quick hello from the Munchkins

Today is another day of special Nanny Annie time with the twins for me so this is all set up to post on auto...fingers crossed it works.  I will aim to drop in to see what you've been up to during their nap times.

Hello to all our on line aunties from the Munchkins

I am doing a quick 'show and tell' of the crafty things I have been up to this week for you to see...

Here are two of the high chair pads I made over the weekend for the twins.  They are such tiny tots that they need a little pad under them and one at their backs to help them fill the high chairs.  I designed and made 4 so they had some here with us and 2 for at home...apparently they work a treat so they will be trying mine out later  :-)
[sorry about the poor lighting in the pic].

This is Sam's little waistcoat that I've been knitting for what seems like ages but finally finished over the weekend.

I want to add this quick snap of our Magnolia that greets all my customers as they come to the door.  It's really beautiful at the mo and I just wish this was smelly vision cos the scent it is giving off is amazing. It's not a huge bush but was grown by my Dad so it's very special to me....he died April 5th 1989 so he is very much in my thoughts at the mo.

What a difference a couple of days makes.  If you check out my last post you will see how the flowering cherry blooms have all opened out in the gorgeous sunshine we have had since the weekend.....I love it  :-)

It's Parmesan and sun dried tomato rolls today if you fancy one for your lunch....please help yourselves before you shoot over to visit Julia, our organiser and Queen of Wednesdays..  :-)

Edit....Postman has just delivered our badges....thanks so much Julia.  We will wear them with pride.  :-) :-) :-) :-)

  8. It's lovely to see your Spring blooms, Annie. Love your Magnolia. I planted one last year so it's having it's first flower for me. Yours is very special!!
Love the high chair padding, what a great idea.
I can't believe there is a ladybird shortage. DD counted 40 in our garden on Sunday, maybe you're right and they've all moved in with us!!!
Enjoy your Nanny time, very precious.

  9. What a great idea those high chair pads are. My daughter was an early baby and I used to stuff all sorts under and around her so she was comfy! I was so happy to see your beautiful magnolia. There is one on my walk to town and I just love the smell of it :o)

  20. Hi Annie,

The twins are absolutely adorable! I love the high chair pads that you've made them. And the vest - that's so cute.

I love magnolias - but they wouldn't do well where I live. The parmesan and sun dried tomato rolls sound heavenly. It's almost lunch time here....

    Hugs,

  21. You’re so crawl to me Annie, since I started on Slimming World I’ve hardly eaten any bread at all and those rolls are just making me sit here and drawl. It’s not that I can’t have bread but because I love it so much, once I start eating it I can’t stop so I just avoid it altogether……it works for me.

Loving all your crafty makes this week, especially the highchair cushions….so ingenious and it’s so lovely to see how the little ones are coming along. I guess we won’t be calling them little ones for much longer judging by how fast they are growing.

Thanks for stopping by this week.
    Happy Crafting!

  22. Annie what a fantastic idea for the high chairs, love the little waistcoat, love the magnolia and the cherry blossom, think you should put the magnolia on the website so your online visitors can see as it's gorgeous. My dad died when I was 5 in Ireland, I so wish his grave was over here, but we lived right down south in Ireland so I can't get to visit. Munchkins ahhhhh so cute, makes me smile. Thank you so much for my order, just about to pop on over to Jo to say thanks, I'm well impressed. Happy woyww :-) Kezzy x

  27. Is that two weeks running you've got them to sleep at the same time? You've got us worrying about our cherry tree now,is it that much warmer nearer the middle of the country?!

  32. What beautiful children and where do you find the time to sew chair pads, knit vest and be creative too. Love your Magnolia, trully heart filling when a plant blooms that belongs to a family member that has passed on, I have many in my garden like that and it gives me warmth in the heart when they flower.

    Happy creating

  33. Such a lovely show and tell this week! I adore magnolias. There's a street in my town called Dogwood but is lined with gorgeous pink magnolias. I take a little detour on the way to the grocery in the Spring. :)

Your magnolia is stunning *and* so special.

    Cheers,

  34. First of all - aren't those little darlings of yours growing! Such happy little faces , it's a joy to see them. Here's me saying they are growing and you making pads for them to fill the high chairs - well I think they are growing. Great pads by the way, clever grandma.
Love the waistcoat and the magnolia bush - well, it could be a photo I put up, it just looks as if it was at ours. Red brick, downspout, the lot!
Thanks for all the pictures bar the last one, I tried and tried to grab one of those rolls because they sound so yummy - you are having me on - I couldn't get one to save my life.

  36. Those badges sure took their time! Still, all's well that ends well. The twinnies are really coming n apace now, I know you say they're small, but how they've grown!! Starting to show real parental similarities too, bless their beautiful hearts. LOVE the magnolia, they have a real 'power of beauty' for me, so am unsurprised that this beauty hold such strong memories for you.
