It's been another week of fun and celebrations for me. We have had fab 4 days hosting our Dutch visitors with lots of fun, laughter, sight seeing and showing off our wonderful family. Sunday saw the second birthday of my blog....I struggle to believe that I have been blogging for 2 years but I'm aware that lots of water has gone under the bridge in that time. I have blogged a little about it in the last couple of posts so if you would like to know more feel free to check it out.
Today is that wonderful, midweek day of crafting exposure all over the world....so many now join in the fun and they all link up on Julia's blog. Please feel free to pop over there when you've finished here and join in.
Today I am showing you my table full of finished knitted squares....only another 4 to go then it's time to sew them all together and crochet the edging.
I'm also showing two little children's baking aprons I have been asked to make. They are for 3 year old twins who love baking. I have printed out the horizontally flipped lettering on paper, transferred it to bond a web then cut it out in white fabric so I can applique it onto the front pockets. :-)
Finally I am sharing the latest scan picture we have of my youngest daughters third baby, a brother for little P & L. I think he looks so much like his daddy. He is breech as yet.....what intelligent baby would spend 9 months standing on their head by choice eh? :-)
That's about all from me for today. I need to get the little aprons finished and have a few other sewing jobs waiting in the queue. Hope you all have a great week. Don't forget to make every day count and keep smiling.
Pinnies looking good - you don't waste much time do you!!

ReplyDeleteOoops ..thought I already followed you but I just pop by on wednesdays ...wont miss anything now xx
ReplyDeleteBlimey. Haven't scans come on since the old thermal paper ones that turned to solid black over time?
ReplyDeleteLove the squares - I do love that about pieced projects. You can work on little bits, feel like you are accomplishing something as you finish each one, and as long as you don't think too hard about HOW MANY little completed squares you need, you can feel good about it the whole time :)
That and eat a Malteaser every time you finish a square LOL!

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you're having a lovely time with your friends. It's so nice when you can keep in touch with friends made on holiday, a rare thing but precious. I still keep in touch with a lady I met in 1992 in Corfu. She was on holiday as a group of 4 and my friend and I joined up with them and had a wonderful time. Sadly, the other three are no longer with us!!
Your little aprons are so cute.
Happy WOYWW

I never get over how clearly those scan pics show up the baby's - though I'm amazed that you can see a likeness between him and his dad already! Here's to a great weekend for you. Elizabeth x #72
ReplyDeleteIt’s amazing how far they’ve come with technology these days and it seem so strange to see little ones face in all that detail. I think we are all going to know your new grandchildren as well as the does by the time they arrive and it’s great.
ReplyDeleteLove the knitted blanket now it’s all stitched together and the little aprons are so sweet.
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
