WOYWW.....

Another week has passed and we are already 2 weeks into the third year of WOYWW madness.  Where would we be without it folks?  I, for one, would miss it.

So?  What am I up to this week?....My mojo has gone on holiday and when that happens I knit  :-)

My daughter's have been given lists of what they have to take into hospital with them and to be honest I think they will feel like they are moving in with all they have to take....especially M who has to pack for two babies. The hospital doesn't even provide a gown for the mum's to labour in these days!.....hospital cut backs gone mad I say.

I have finished knitting this cute little blue cardy and matching hat.  It's a tiny baby size and is one for one of the expected twins.

Do you remember this little wrap round cardy I knit with that fab wool my blogging friend Jo bought me in Germany?
Well,  I have now knit a matching hat  :-)
I really love this wool.
I now have to knit little hats to match another couple of cardies before I tackle my next project.  These are requested on the list to take in and are especially needed with tiny or early babies.

I shall be up under this gorgeous dress today getting hot and steamy.  I have already finished the alterations on it and it is being collected later today to be ready for a Wedding on Saturday....It's a really pretty dress and the bride looks stunning in it.

The last picture is one of the latest produce to come out of our garden....help yourselves to a strawberry....they are really yummy.

That's all from me for this week.  I am really hoping my mojo returns very soon so I can be more creative in my spare time.  Do pop over to Julia's blog now and join in the WOYWW fun.  Have a great week folks.

  7. Mojo or no mojo ...it was still a great read ...wow those look yummy strawberries.....and the outfits are gorgeous. If you have scraps of wool and you still have no mojo ...most prem baby units are very greatful for tiny hats ....suitable for all sizes ...1 1/2 lbs upwards I would guess.xx

  8. Fab dress, but I am more tempted by those luscious looking berries. We have a ton of blackberries in our garden but no strawbs. Maybe next year. Yum Yum - I'll bet they actually taste of something. All they seem to have in the stores is ElSanta, and they may be bred for shelf life and look good, they don't taste like the ones I remember as a kid.

Is it worth it to have them all year round, or were we better off only eating them in season?

    :)

  9. Dinky little hats and lucky you with strawberries from the garden. OH didn't net ours and the pidgeons have had a ball , not the mention our friendly pheasant who struts his stuff up and down the garden.

  10. Those strawberries look better than the ones I bought at the grocery store the other day.

I am sorry to hear your daughter has to take so many things to the hospital. But those gowns with no back are horrible, so be thankful she is providing her own.

    Happy WOYWW.

  13. So lovely to see that well travelled wool made up into something so special! In Germany the newborns have to have only pure wool hats and after I had made lots for my little grandee I made lots of extras for the prem babies there as the hospital found it difficult to have enough and so few people knit these days! There are groups in UK who do this I know.
Love the previous post of those 2 little cuties, you are so lucky being so close.
BTW, swap you one of your strawberries for one of mine!

  14. It is amazing to see how creative you are with no mojo. You must be dynamite with mojo. The granddaughters are beautiful. Sorry to see the end of the triffid. Did you ever find out its true name/species??

  35. Hospitals...pagh.!!.. if they don't even provide labor gowns....I'd go naked and fix them all....it's ridiculous isn't it?
Sounds like Russia for heaven's sake. If you don't look after your relatives there....and even take them food and feed them ..... well... you can imagine...

plus... they have to pay bribes to the doctors just to get any treatment..that'll be next I guess........
