WOYWW.....and a Rubber Stamp sale.....

Hi folks.  Yes another busy week has passed and it's Wednesday again when the world goes mad and we expose our crafting spaces.  If you want to find out more and join in the fun then please pop over to Julia's blog and put yourself on Mr Linky.

Mine has been a week of change as most of you will know so I am showing you how my  sewing/crafting space has altered this week.  If you look at the previous post you will see that the doorway between our sitting room and my sewing room has now been knocked through and to allow space to walk through my work surfaces and storage spaces have had to be moved.

They have gone from here.......

.......to here.  Yes it is a pretty subtle change but the whole lot had to be taken off it's fixings and moved about 10" to the right.  I had to lose some width on the work surface on the right but I have gained a little in it's depth so this helps.  I liked how the machines were set out before and I believe in 'if it ain't broke why fix it' so really didn't want too much change there.

I have also gained a new 2 metre work surface the length of the other wall and can now store my boxes under this [I might be tempted to put a curtain to hang under here at some point....what do you think?].  As you can see there is still lots dumped on it's top but when I have a little more time I will be finding storage boxes and new homes for most of this.

Bless him, my other half even got injured in making all the changes...he came up under one of the work surfaces and scraped right down his back  :-(  Ouch!
As mentioned in the title Twiglet helped me sort out my rubber stamps into sets to sell.  I have used them all but have always kept them clean [and actually only used them very few times each] so they are all pretty much as new.  They are now for sale in the shop at £10 a bag and each bag has rubber stamps worth at least double that when they were bought new so are a good bargain....if you need more details on any of them just email me.

Thanks for dropping in and taking the time to read my blog.  Have a great week.  Hope to catch up on as many WOYWWers as I can.

  1. Looks like you gained a new set of drawers, too. Sometimes subtle differences can make a big difference. I can't believe you did all this in a week. Great job, with only one real "ouchie." Happy WOYWW.

  41. Hi - good to sell things on when you move to a new creative interest - I have sold off a lot of my quilting books on e-bay & a stck of fat quarters & larger pieces to a local sewing group now I don't quilt & sew these days - trouble is still have a whole cupboard of fabric to sell !!
Am diverting the money into new stash for papercrafting & art supplies which I am enjoying now - old habits die hard !

  45. Oooh - ouch to poor hubby! That looks nasty.

And a very, VERY big thank you from Ruby and me :P I don't know how I managed to hold off giving him to her before the day but it was so worth it. We had to have a discussion about why Mr Tumble couldn't go to school with her today (I worried I wouldn't get him home again!) But that he would be able to come with me to pick her up in future. A very, very big hit indeedy :P

  58. Glad to see it's all coming along Annie, poor hubby he's such a martyr isn't he?!! Do you realise both you and Twiglet commented within seconds of each other and said almost the same thing! Thankfully I remembered how to cast on and did the first four rows last night!

  59. How lovely to have extra work surfaces! I can see why you're thinking about putting a curtain there, it's a good idea if you don't need to go under there too often. But we have curtains like this at school and it can be a real pain if you're having to fling them out of the way all the time, lol. Helen (16)

Ooooh that scratch made me wince though!

  70. Finally made it over to yours! I like what you have done to your workspace; evolution rather than revolution seems a great way of managing the change. Hope your poor OH is not too sore and wounded; I had to dust off my first aid skills when mine injured himself helping me shift stuff this week.
