Phew it's hot. I don't know about you but I'm ready for some cooler weather. We were away last week in a lovely little cottage up in Yorkshire and boy was it hot. The air conditioner in the car was certainly put to good use.
We came home Friday and since then my phone hasn't stopped going....I think my customers missed me :-)
I have....
- Shortened a bridesmaid dress
- Took in a dress for holiday use
- Shortened a pair of trousers for a page boy and.......
....made these 5 gorgeous Memory bears for a much loved Mum, Nan and Great Nan.
The lady who died had 6 daughters and these bears are for just one of them so there could well be more orders coming soon.
And all that has been done in just two days!!
Peggy was as good as gold away with us in the cottage last week but seems to be enjoying being at home now.
She has sat here every morning since we got back but by the time the sun moves round to the back of the bungalow she will be found stretched out on the floor tiles where it's nice and cold.
I hope you have managed to keep cool this week. I will pop by to see what you've been up to ASAP.

ReplyDeleteCan I come and stretch out on your cold tiles as well please?! It’s either that or moving to the Arctic….I’m glad you had a good holiday despite the high temps, I must admit that being in the aircon in the car is wonderful! Well done on all the alterations and bears, busy gal!

ReplyDeleteI missed you too, Annie! In fact, I thought about messaging you but figured you could be away on holiday. And you were! A cottage in Yorkshire is one of my favourite holiday memories. Several cottages actually. I'm amazed at your work output in just two days. I did get my sewing machine out one day last week - the first time in forever - for just one wee repair job. Peggy has a lot of common sense seeking out the cool spots in this heat. Yes, it's hot up here too and Silver, like Peggy, finds the best places to cool down. ReplyDeleteHi Annie, bet you had a nice time away. The new bears are lovely, that's quite a collection, you certainly got your finger out on your return home. Dogs always know the best places, my two like to go in the dining room as it's in the middle of the house and doesn't have any windows so tends to stay cool longer.
