WOYWW ....and ATC swap.....

As those that join in the Wednesday fun will know we are coming up to our 5th year birthday celebrations....If you want to know the details click on this link to Julia's wonderful instructions.
I usually offer a swap to any that would like to swap with me as well as the one after me on the list on the day and this year is no different.  I've made my ATCs well in advance this year and will be putting them ready to post so if you'd like to swap with me please leave me your name here in the comments and email me your details to wipso@toucansurf.com........I'm getting excited already :-)

This week has found me needing more stress busting knitting...

Yep....I'm up to 9 already!!!
Our lovely little bungalow that we made plans for, invested a lot of time, money [we will have to pay solicitors for all the searches etc now!] and emotions on  [and bought new settees and curtains for] has now been sold.  :-(
Our buyers still haven't got their mortgage :-(
It's no fun having to trust strangers when you come to buying and selling of houses.

These two rather old chair throws needed my love and attention this week....they needed careful darning as they were starting to fall apart and their owner wanted to have them dry cleaned.....what with these and the horse blankets of last week [check out the mad masked woman in the prev post if you want a giggle!] I certainly have a varied job.....no two days are the same!!

And finally I am leaving you with some pics from our garden that have kept me smiling this week.  The Lilac smells amazing [that is a full sized shed next to the light purple lilac so you can see just how big it is!] and the Wisteria will be in full bloom soon and looks simply stunning......Enjoy.  :-)

If you leave me a little hello comment I will do my best to pop over to yours to say hi when I get a free moment.  :-)  Don't forget to email me with your details if you'd like to swap ATCs with me this year.
Hugs,
Annie

  7. Glorious garden photos Annie, but such a shame that the house move thing is dragging on, and on, and on :( However, you do get to see all that glorious blossom one more time - every cloud etc. etc.

ATCs?! Sheesh, I never finished making mine from last year so I don't feel it would be fair to join in this time round. Too busy rounding up ducks and animals in the Playground here!

  9. Some great color in your post today. I love lilacs and this is the first place I'ved lived that I don't have an established bush of them. I planted some 2 yrs ago, but so small. Things here aren't out and budding as normal. It JUST warmed up and gave us a few days of sunshine. So I've been outside A LOT. I'll need a rainy day to finish up my ATC's and would love to share with you. If cheaper to mail you and your sis could mail together ? Want to catch up on blogs also, miss a day, miss a lot ! Have a fun week

  12. Really sorry to hear about your bungalow, I know you had set your heart on it. I believe things happen for a reason (not always a helpful belief) so perhaps something better is waiting just around the corner for you, x

  14. The garden is looking gorgeous at the mo - I especially love wisteria. It's a shame you can't take the garden with you, when you move, but it will really bless the new owners. I hope the sale goes through quickly for you now. I'd love to swap atcs, and will email my deets. Love for now, Chris # 47 x

  16. I feel bad that it's taken me so long to get here, but life has definitely gotten in the way this week. I also feel bad about your home buying situation. Did you ever think it was NOT to be? I sure hope you get a good solution to this situation soon. Again, my thoughts are with you and they are good thoughts, too.

Thanks for stopping by already and happy WOYWW from #5.

  18. Hi Annie,

What a bummer about the bungalow deal falling through. Keep in mind that things work out in the end. You may find something you like much more.

Knitting is good therapy until you have to do some rippiing. I had completed the baby blanket once and the dimension was wonky so I ripped the entire thing out. After re-knitting it I'm happy with it (whew).

Your garden is lovely. I have some lilacs and they've already bloomed (barely). We had a hard freeze so I'm afraid I won't get any more blooms this season. Another of my favorites is the wisteria. What a gorgeous archway!

    Thanks for visiting me already.

    Happy belated WOYWW
    Peace, Kay (17)
