Here we are again folks. Another week has whizzed by and our day of snoop is upon us again. Be sure to pop over to Julia's blog to join in the fun when you leave here. As I updated my blog yesterday with all my news today will be a short blog. [Phew I hear you all say :-) ].
This is my desk this morning. As you can see it's all tidy and organised now since it got it's lick of paint on Monday. On the front are the 4 brooches for my followers to choose one of if they are lucky enough to win the draw next Monday. In the middle of the desk is my Tax return still waiting to be filled in and sent off.....groan groan.....it really doesn't take me long but it's one of those jobs that is easy to put off til tomorrow. Feel free to have a good snoop round :-)
I've had my buttons and beads out searching for the perfect ones to go in the middle of my brooches.
This is the button box. It's pretty full of utility buttons for replacing clothing buttons but hiding in there are some really lovely ones too and I love looking through and sorting them.
This are my bead containers. I have beads of just about every colour but must make a note to self that I need some bigger feature beads cos most of mine are too small for my brooches.
Thats all for today but don't forget to put your name in the draw if you are one of my 100 followers. and don't forget to let me know which one you would like to win if you're the lucky one. If you're not a follower yet then I'm happy for you to become one to join in the fun....the more the merrier.
Lol - yes, just having a good snoop around your tax return!!! Will check out my beads before tomorrow - might have a few in the right colours for the next bunch of brooches you will be making soon!

Everything is so lovely organised! Thank you for the lovely award you have given me, I was away and will put it on my blog today! I am honored!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Cardarian
Great to share your work corner and it is tidy but industrious. Enjoyed your weekend post too. How on earth do we busy people still manage to make jam, chutney, etc? I know what you mean about trying to find jars as jam makers don't buy much of it to get any! I keep buying the kilner jars from Ikea and never get them back from my family after they've eaten the produce! They love them as much as the jam.

I was here earlier, but couldn't leave a comment. I came back to see if things had changed. I have a love of buttons, too. It's always fun to run your hands through them and feel the different textures from silky smooth to chipped with age. Love those brooches, too.
ReplyDeleteNow keep your fingers crossed that this goes through. At least this time I get the comment box (grin). Happy WOYWW.
Love your space. Those flowers you croched are amazing. ~jeni :)

ReplyDeletelove teen x
wipso - check out viking loom ltd ( not sure if they are tinterweb sellers directly) I buy their feature beads/buttons from the beetroot tree - which do stock them and are about to start selling on tinterweb...the peeps at the beetroot gallery are fab so if you rang and asked for 'sizes' and told them what your project was they will always go - ooh no these would be too small - or - ohh yes these would be perfect...
ReplyDeleteDx

Oooh fabulous desk (apart from that yeughy tax return!) Lovin all your storage too ... will you pop over and organise me too!
ReplyDeleteJust read your last post too. Sounds like you had a great weekend Annie.
ReplyDeleteI think that I should take a leaf out of your book and get the conservatory painted. when we first had it installed - i was painting every few months to keep it fresh... the novelty soon wore off... there are so many other places that are more in need, but once you start and all that!!!!
lots of hugs

I love poking around in button boxes too. I can recall a few years back threading them all onto cotton in bunches that matched. Then a few months later snipping them all free again. Tragic I hear you say!
ReplyDeleteHow on earth do you function on such a small work area? Guess that's why it's uber tidy.
Lin xx
Lovely buttons and beads. Have a great week x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous looking brooches and that button box is very envy inducing.
ReplyDeleteThe big day is the 28th and she starts nursery the very next day. I have been sitting on my hands to not give him to her *g* I showed my Dad when he was here yesterday (still not wrapped up so I can keep showing people *g*) He couldn't believe it, said it was amazing! Not long now! Eeeeeek!
So tidy and organized! I'm naturally a bit of a muddler, but it's my muddle and I know where everything is - roughly!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on reaching the big 100!
Why do we crafters get such a thrill from seeing beads and such in tiny organized groups? I guess it's the potential of it all. Enjoyed the tour. Have a good day! =D
ReplyDeletePS thx for the comment on my blog!
congratulations on the 100 followers hun, I am almost there and it is so exciting isn't it.
ReplyDeleteAs for the move up on the messy scale yep you are far to tidy this week.
